They stole evidence from me and informed about a situation that was untrue, while laughing at serious issues pertaining to my son. This was all under recording. He lied to the courts to try and save himself after his numerous calls to me after screaming at me trying to “rectify” the situation.... View More

If the sister is the subject of an order of custody and visitation by the sister's father, then a relocation proceeding must take place and there must be an order entered for the sister to relocate.

An especially nasty trick some non-custodial parents play is to deliberately estrange a child from himself. Bad conversation, bad food, unkempt bedding, and no activities are all easily manufactured. Why would a non-custodial parent do this? Because there are at least four more years of child... View More
My children have supervised visitation with their father. This was supervised by my ex father in law who has just passed away.

The asker must comply with her order that compels supervised visitation, or the asker must return to family court to modify her order. The asker cannot unilaterally decide to cancel the order and ignore it. The opponent parent can file a violation petition and cause the asker to end up in civil... View More

This is an especially odd question because it asks whether a court can make one parent the "custodial" parent while giving far more than 50% parenting time to the other "non-custodial" parent. The answer is yes because the family court judge can do anything he wants to a family.... View More

Yes. In New York, parents must support their children until their twenty first birthday unless earlier "emancipated." This means the child must be totally self supporting, or married, or in the military to get the asker off the hook.

The answer to this question changes with the political winds in Washington. In a democrat run government, there is great risk in marrying a child support obligor.
