Q: I’m getting a divorce, what can I do about renewing my work permit if it expires next month?

I previously had DACA that expired December 2016 and since I got married with a legal citizen, we started the process of fixing my status. But we’re getting a divorce and I’m not sure where that leaves me.

EAD renewal depends with where you are in the underlying application process... consult with an immigration lawyer as soon as possible.

You can legally change your name anytime, just make sure you list all the names (aliases) you have used in the past, in your immigration forms. Good luck to you..

Q: Will by father be forced to leave the U.S. if there was a misanswered question on his green card application?

He has already held the green card for 9 years and the question was misanswered as a mistake. It was only discovered when he was applying for naturalization

That really depends on the mistake made, the implications (if any), and as well as what the correct answer should have been on the application. He needs to contact an immigration lawyer for a full assessment of his case.

Good Luck,
