My mother had a vehicle that was in my name that I wanted back for my wife to drive so we traded my mother my wifes vehicle (in her name) to my mother for the vehicle that was in my name. My mother sells my wifes car to my wifes parents and her stepdad got a DUI in her vehicle. We tried to get them... View More
I Keep getting a different answer when I call Frankfort. I’ve done everything asked of me. I don’t think I should have to take DUI classes here in KY for a DUI in NC. Can you help me navigate this situation?

Get your proof of class completion in NC and deliver it to the DOT in KY. You do not have to take classes in Ky if you have completed them in NC.
Just curious because I believe the law was previously 5 years for KY and it changed in 2016 in the midst of me waiting 5 years.

You can unless your license is pretrial suspended, which they should have told you and take license if it is.
Will be my third DUI within 10 years, I also have an immigration Case going on, also have a 83 year old adoptive mother that needs my help financially, what are my options?

Depends on the county where the DUI is but HiP on a 3rd is unlikely. Hire a competent criminal defense attorney, aggressively defend the DUI, and if you can get it amended or favorably resolved that will help tremendously with your immigration case.

This is his first offense and doesn’t even have a ticket on his record. His court date isn’t until Jan but we are already enrolled in mandatory classes. How likely would he serve Jail time?

Not likely but could depend on his BAreading and prior record.
Is there a free site to do this and did ky law change it to 10 yrs before dui drops off your records

There is not a free site that does it (that I know of) and the look back is 10 years.

The original charge and the amended charge go on the conviction form.
Told to plead guilty without any proof. And when I asked ,I was told NO! by my lawyer. Absurd but gods honest truth. Lexington.ky
Advised me to plead guilty without proof of discovery, and take a deal for no restitution/ 45 day lic.susp./probation. Forged my signature on new deal for restitution/30 days jail and its been 184 days without my license
Pled guilty, with no proof of injury and agreed upon original plea deal went missing, and Unauthorized agreement instead, in its place.

You may want to see if there is any reason for the change. If you didn’t agree to it, you may want to ask the court to set aside the plea agreement and inquire into the unauthorized ple. Consult a lawyer before you do anything.

I was convicted of 3rd dui aggravated in Kentucky. 60 min sentence. They asked me if I wanted long term rehab and I said yes. I served 33 days in jail and they got me out and sent me to a 9 month long rehab. I completed the rehab and was told early on I’d have to finish my 60 day sentence. I went... View More

Doubtful he will remember and if youve been discharged from probation, it won’t likely be an issue.
What does that mean? And if I get another one is it my 2nd or 3rd?
answered on May 19, 2020
If you get another one within 10 years it is your third offense.
