Q: So I’m 17 years old and got pulled over for going 25 over on highway 27 in Kentucky. Will I get my license suspended?

The cop said it’s not payable and I have to appear in court. Will it go on my record if it’s currently completely clean? And do I have to hire a lawyer or will the court provide me one? Is it necessary for me to have a guardian with me?

If it’s 25 over, that is not a suspension ticket but 26 over is suspension level. You should hire a lawyer to protect your censor. Most likely it can be resolved without you losing your license.

It means Kentucky has no holds or issues in your license and will not prevent another state from issuing you a drivers license.

Q: If I did not have proof of insurance the day I was pulled over by cop and now have insurance, do I got to pay a fine?

I was pulled over back in March for no tag, registration and no proof on insurance. The next day after I got pulled over I got new insurance, would a judge dismiss me or charge me a fine or throw me in jail for 90 days?

Q: I got pulled over for going 89 in a 70. If I pay the ticket do I have to go to court?

I’m okay with taking the classes and getting some of the points taken away and I don’t really want to go in front of a judge.

No. If you pay the ticket, you don’t have to go to court. However, 19 over is a 6 point violation. You might want to consider hiring a lawyer to appear for you and get the charge amended. That way you don’t lose any points and you still don’t have to go to court.

It depends what county you’re in. You need to hire an experienced defense attorney in that county. You may have an opportunity to knock it down and do a traffic safety program. You do not just want to walk in and plead to this ticket because you could lose your license.

As a 17 year old if you plead to offense with 6 points or more you could be subject to suspension. I would contact an Attorney to represent you.
