The legality of a police officer calling for a second K-9 unit during a traffic stop, after the first did not alert, can be a complex issue and depends on several factors. Courts have generally held that a dog sniff during a lawful traffic stop does not violate the Fourth Amendment's... View More

You will not do jail time. If you had Insurance in force when you were stopped, they will dismiss it.
The office of the constable are doing traffic stops in these smaller counties is that legal?
answered on Oct 20, 2023
In Kentucky, constables are elected officials who have law enforcement powers, but their duties and responsibilities can vary from county to county. Constables typically have the authority to make arrests and serve civil process, but they may not be responsible for answering emergency calls in the... View More

No, police officers aren’t required to validate the height or age of the children. But you can bring these facts to the attention of the judge at your trial.
Verify the height and age requirements for a passenger not needing a booster seat. If your children meet those requirements,... View More

Best way is to hire a traffic ticket attorney in your area to represent you. You have reasons, sympathetic and perhaps legal, in which an experienced traffic ticket attorney could utilize to get the ticket dismissed or moved to something which does not appear on your driving record. Good luck.
And call for female officer to search?
I just found out, by LifeLock, that I have an active court case opened in my name. After calling the Kentucky court system, I was informed the case is regarding a speeding ticket from 2006. I moved to Tennessee in 2004, and now reside in Oregon since 2010. I cannot reasonably be physically present... View More

answered on Aug 25, 2023
They go by the court date on which you were placed on diversion.
answered on Aug 25, 2023
In Kentucky, the availability and terms of diversion programs can vary depending on the jurisdiction (county) and the specific circumstances of your case. Diversion programs are typically handled at the county level, so they may differ from one county to another. It's important to note that if... View More
I'm on a one-year ends mid September. I got pulled over end of August court date. Ismy until October do I still have to pay both tickets? Or is my one year divert good
answered on Aug 25, 2023
The one year diversion may be terminated (or not) bc of the new ticket. You probably need a lawyer to handle both and resolve both to avoid possible license and insurance issues.

If you only got charged with a permit, violation and reckless, driving, you may not be looking at jail time. If they charged you with driving without an operators license, there is some potential. It also depends on your age and on your driving record. I would hire an experienced criminal defense... View More

Passing in a "no passing zone" and going 82 in a 55 mph posted zone are traffic infractions. You can hire a traffic ticket attorney to represent you. The cop that is "bothering" you is probably assigned to patrol that area for traffic violations, which you admit you are... View More
Officer said he clocked me at 99 in a 70, but I wasn't doing over 85. Like I said I've never had any kind of traffic or speeding violations before.

Most likely you will not lose your license but you should hire an attorney to make sure you don’t lose them.
Is that legal and is there anything I can do about it
answered on Jul 15, 2023
Your son can provide them proof that the money belonged to him rather than you and you can probably retrieve the money. If not, you may have a wrongful garnishment claim against them.
The cop said it’s not payable and I have to appear in court. Will it go on my record if it’s currently completely clean? And do I have to hire a lawyer or will the court provide me one? Is it necessary for me to have a guardian with me?

If it’s 25 over, that is not a suspension ticket but 26 over is suspension level. You should hire a lawyer to protect your censor. Most likely it can be resolved without you losing your license.
