Q: Can i sue if i have a neighbor that falsely reported my dogs to animal control?

She told animal control that my dogs tried attacking her when they were clearly in our backyard fenced in with no breakage what so ever

Don't do it. It will escalate. This crazy neighbor may poison your dog.

You have lost of proof he is your dog. 5he burden is on her to prove otherwise. Just get a copy of the Vet record in case the crazy woman calls the police.

I think you mean that you were bitten 23 Nov 2019, not 2020. Did you have pasturella or staph? Go get a certified copy of your medical records and bill and hire a personal injury lawyer no later than 23 Oct 2020.

Send him a letter by certified mail that you will charge him with discharge of a weapon within city limits, cruelty to animals and sue him for conversion. Then buy a big fence & get your dog chipped.

I believe the limit is 5 pets. Take your excess to a shelter in another parish.

Q: Uncle went to jail for almost a year and we took in his dog

When he went to jail, his landlord called other family of ours about the dog. Was saying if someone didnt come get her he would take her to the pound. My mom went got her. Now almost a year later, he is out and wants her back. Can my mom legally keep her?

Q: Service dog in training/ access laws

I am confused about the service dog in training access laws for Louisiana. I am owner training my medical alert dog, do I have access rights with her as long as she is reliable, 100% potty trained, and under control?

I believe your dog would need to be certified as a medical support animal. Your doctor's office should be able to walk you through the process. If not, there are tutorials online that explain what documentation you'll need.

Q: Can you help me with the cat situation? When three cats went missing, she brought more. If a coyote bites me, lawsuit.

I know she’s aware feeding cats attract wild animals because in 2016, in Baton Rouge, they wrote online about coyote problems & missing cats. I live alone with her two vacant houses, I’m 60 with health issues. The closest neighbors shot her cats with paint balls. They are cruel to animals.

1) Call the Humane Society. There are humane trappers who neuter Nd release stray cats.

2) Call the Sheriff's Office on anyone who is cruel to feral cats.

Get your yard fenced, the dog licensed in your name, rabies/distemper/heartworm & parvo, and chipped in your name. Then send them a letter by certified mail telling them thank you for the gift of the dog.

1) Call the Sheriff's office and file a criminal complaint of harassment,

2) Call wildlife and fisheries and file a criminal complaint of poisoning,

3) Hire an attorney to file a restraining order and file a civil suit for damages.

You should have gotten them to sign a dated receipt or an agreement for something as valuable as your dog.
