A New Hampshire attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. Until you're able to consult with a local attorney as to state-specific protections for labs, such situations are generally governed by the agreement between the dentist and the lab. Good luck

It sounds like you're doing business in a state, other than NH as well as NH. You can do that but I suggest you hire an attorney to review the full picture so a suitable recommendation can be made.

Doing Business As or d/b/a is akin to a Trade Name. So, you could be a NH, LLC d/b/a "Jack Sparrow Goods" or whatever name you have. If you're doing business in another state, there are several important things to consider such as registration in each state, taxes, consumer... View More

Ordinarily this issue would be covered in a written contract but if you don't have one, billing 30 days or so after the job does not appear unreasonable at all. I'm unsure if there are any special circumstances such as a closing date, etc. Feel free to contact me if you have any... View More

Q: Customer breached contract when calling my insurance for damages; Terms and conditions clearly state - not liable

Removing and replacing roof including the framing. No roof, just tarps, some water got in. It was expected in this type of job, hence the terms and conditions. It sounds as if the homeowner breached your contract by filing an insurance claim when she shouldn't have. I'd ask her to withdraw the claim. It sounds like she is also interfering with your General Contractor. Yet, since you stated things seem to be ok for the moment, that's... View More

Q: Do I owe my sign on bonus back to my company if I give my notice prior to one year but am still employed by them after?

Actual wording" in the event you voluntarily terminate your employment within twelve (12) months of your start date, you agree to repay the signing bonus in full upon your last day of employment. Does that mean when I give notice? or when I leave? At the end of my two weeks would be after my 1 year.

Seems a bit grey. Take back your notice. And work a couple of weeks into the new year.

That is a very common question in credit applications. You will also be asked the amount of your monthly rent or mortgage payment and how many years you have lived at your current address. If you rent, the monthly expense will not show in your credit report which is usually obtained as part of... View More

The answer to your question involves a bit more than name comparison. At least trade channels, zone of natural expansion, and use of the senior mark should also be considered. If you are starting a business, it is a good idea to engage an IP attorney to complete a clearance search for the name and... View More

Q: Why is a law firm able to appropriate a trademarked name, “Better Call Saul,” with “Better Phone Stone” slogan?

It’s a question for my business law paper. The firm’s ripped off slogan is service marked; even though the entities are non-competing, they are making commercial profits from it nonetheless from another’s trademarked name. Why is this legal?

It sounds like you need to do your homework instead of seeking advice from a professional lawyer :) Here's a hint: look at the DuPont factors to determine whether two marks cause confusion in the marketplace. Good luck!

I'd recommend calling the NH DMV and just asking them. There are likely administrative regulations which lay out the rules for that process.
