It is a Civil Claim for Debt, not a Criminal Charge. It is your choice, but it cannot go on your MVR, or put you in Jail. But Collectors can sue, hound you and execute any judgments against your property.

You have not stated what happened. But any conviction of a Rule of the Road Violation will result in points against your MVR for the last twelve months.
What am I expected to receive from the court. Other party cut me off, I had to hit breaks to prevent collision. Other party never stopped.

The Court may give you some relief, but will probably find you Guilty. It is possible that you will have to make Restitution. You may want to make a claim on your Insurance. With the Rule of Road Violation will come some points on your MVR.
If I'm not mistaking, it reads if I don't exceed over 55 mph, then I shouldn't have to pay. Am I reading this wrong?

No, you have not read the entire Statute. Hire a competent attorney to work the Citation out so it does not put Points against your MVR. Diversion or Dismissal with payment of costs would work out well for you.
My husband has traffic tickets ranging from 2 years to 17 years old, they say he needs to pay them all before reinstatement. However, I had some tickets that were only 5 years old that fell off and was reinstated. They are tickets like driving with no license and no proof of insurance.

It is not legal for you to park there, much less halt briefly, and let out or pick up a passenger. However a Parking Citation is rarely a Rule of the Road Violation, so it does not go on your Motor Vehicle Record for the last year. You do not acquire points against your Driving License.

Yes. The Children would probably have nothing to do with the Rule of the Road Violation unless the Officer knew you were distracted by Them. This Statute is usually given in connection with an accident.

Definitely go to Court on time, in proper clothing and act respectfully. You may be offered some type of Diversion such as a Class or Costs which will allow the Court to Dismiss or Reduce the Speeding Violation.
Even if you are Convicted, it may not make it to your MVR.

The Officer will probably claim the paraphernalia was in plain view. But hire a competent attorney and prepare for a Preliminary Hearing. It is doubtful, but you might get Indicted. If so, then file a Motion to Suppress Evidence due to an illegal Search.

No. But if the Kentucky Ticket goes down as a conviction, then it will probably show up on your Motor Vehicular Report for the last 12 months. This might affect you in Court for another Charge or raise your Insurance rates.
