Liability insurance coverage only

Not sure what your question is. Presumably you did that to cover cost of the tow. Has no affect on your insurance.
The police officer who arrived filled out an accident report where he cited the other driver for careless driving, but no summons was issued. Since no summons was issued was the other driver given an actual citation for careless driving, and if so, what penalty would have that driver suffered?... View More

Penalty is usually points, fine. If you were hurt you need to contact a member of the Colo. Assn for Justice--they give free consults.
As far as your claim, the fact the officer felt the other driver was careless (which in citation language means more than inadvertent) will be significant... View More
I was told by my employer to drive my car to pick up an item from another office due to a wrong item delivered to mine. On my way to pick up the item, I hit a patch of black ice and slid into another car. My work is saying they are not liable for the damage since they don't carry insurance... View More

They are correct, though morally as you were using your car they should at least pay for the deductible. If you were hurt it is a workers compensation injury.

Generally, no. Contact the center for auto safety to see if there have been similar complaints on that model.
I parked my car at a mall parking lot after I found out about the flat tire and i’m plannIng to come back tomorrow to deal with it. I believe there were no sign of ‘no overnight parking’ but I’m worried about getting towed. I forgot to left a small note in my car which could explain why i... View More

Seems it would make sense to go back, put a note on the windshield or at least change the tire now. If they have a sign warning you not to park, you'd better believe it can be towed.
Both parties exchanged info and spoke both agreeed not to call police and let insurance handle it.

As long as your insurance doesn't require you notify police--but one or the other or both may.

my boyfriend was in an accident in my car, i was not there at the time of the accident, but i want to know if the other driver can come after me for the cost of damages since it was my car that was involved in the accident. and my boyfriend did not have insurance

Assuming he had your permission, your insurance will cover the claim. Let them handle it. If sued, they will give you an attorney. They will ask the other person for a release of claims in exchange for the money so you should be protected.

You should immediately forward the documents you received to your insurance carrier and confirm that they will timely file a formal response on your behalf. Otherwise, a judgment may be entered against you, and it could be registered in Texas.
I mean the other driver

Up to a point the other driver. However if you were hurt why not get a consult from a member of the Colo Assn for Justice--they give free consultations.
Problem is if things drag out the other company will claim you should "mitigate" your damages. Its usually a crock but it takes... View More

That doesn't protect them from you making a claim against them. However if they are a municipal bus company you may have some hoops to go through. If you were in the car and were hurt, contact a member of the Colo. Assn for Justice--they give free consults.
I just hit (bumped) a bicyclist who was crossing the entry way going against traffic downhill at high speeds. He popped out in front of my car before I even knew he was there. He was fine, a scraped knee, no bike damage and was just about to head home after I checked on him, until a busy body... View More

I sympathize with you because you wouldn't normally be looking for somebody coming against traffic and at a high rate of speed on the sidewalk. I'd say the bicyclist was at least part at fault, but that doesn't mean somebody couldn't conclude you were also at fault. I'm... View More

It's worth your getting an attorney, because no matter how creative I or any defense counsel can be about the accident, you were in the seat when you had a suspension. This generally --even without crashes--suggests to the judge that he needs to use a 2x4 to get the point across. So you are... View More
I got into an accident in Sept. 2016, it was my fault. There was a white mini-van in front of me (1996 cadillac deville) on a right turn (with it's own turning lane) out of a shopping center that was going for it, and suddenly slammed on the breaks. I let go of my breaks, so I slowly rolled... View More

Based on your question I assume that you do not have insurance (which is required...). If you do have insurance, the valuation is something that your insurance company handles. If you do not have insurance, you can request documentation related to valuation. There might be something that can be... View More

Why not pay for a consultation if you don't want links. You want someone to write an essay on underglow lights as to what? Why not tell us what you want? Better yet, talk to DMV about your issue.

If he signed a release I don't see that his company can win a case. They can bring one --but not win one.

Sold a jeep to my ex. Her boyfriend rolled it a few times with no plates and no insurance. He had no permission to drive the jeep. Since I'm still technically the owner, am I liable for the impound fees and any damages he caused?

A lawyer will need to review all the specifics to make a determination. As a general rule, if the seller and buyer signed bill of sale AND the seller proceeded to remove the car from the seller's name (e.g. cancelling insurance, removing license plates, etc.) the liability should not pass to... This sounds strange to me. Billing and collection is allowed, but it sounds like services were not used... Yes a police report is admissible and it sounds like it would be very helpful. Going against an attorney when you are not an attorney is scary, but don't focus on the attorney. Work on building your case (e.g. what damage occurred?, how did the accident occur?, What evidence do you have to... View More
