You can just file a voluntary dismissal if you were the one who filed the case. If the other side filed a case than you cannot dismiss.

No, the Eight Amendment is a limitation on the power of the federal government, not the states such as Georgia. What you need to do is to go see a local attorney about this. I do not have enough facts to direct you otherwise. But, yes the Circuit Courts handle cases of this nature, and it depends upon the facts.

Convicted felons cannot possess firearms, that is until they can get their rights restored, if possible. In Florida a convicted felon cannot get his gun rights back until 8 years after the completion of the sentence.

Yes. He was just a witness anyway. It is more complicated when the teen is being questioned about criminal actions and the teen should request your presence and the presence of an attorney when that happens.
