I am 19 years old. Soon to be 20 years old in December. I have a ticket for following too closely that would add three points onto my license. Would I be allowed to plead nolo for this ticket?
answered on Nov 8, 2021
If you have not plead nolo before, yes, but you should try to avoid having to use your nolo for this.

I didn't know my license was suspended and was arrested yesterday
answered on Oct 30, 2021
In general, the prosecution has to prove that you were properly notified of the suspension in order to win their case against you.
Whether you were "properly" notified is case-specific.
In some circumstances, most commonly in DUI scenarios, notice occurs automatically,... View More

Most states have restrictions on the color of lights. Usually it is white and yellow/orange in front and white/red/ orange in back. Red in front is usually reserved for emergency vehicles. PROBABLY NOT.
This was truly a misunderstanding. I had just purchased the vehicle privately one day prior. I drove it to work the following day with intentions of going to the tag office on my break. I put my jeep tag on it that I had just gotten rid of because I was under the impression that I could switch tags... View More

Will the judge be lenient because you corrected the violations immediately? Possibly. Remember, "ignorance of the law is not a defense." Dress properly, speak politely and respectfully and explain your situation to the Judge, you will most likely be treated better if you are polite and... View More
Insurance Company agree to only pay 80 percent of the damage to my car?
answered on Sep 22, 2021
What was their explanation? If you got the vehicle repaired, they should be paying 100% of the repairs. Maybe they discounted it for depreciation, but they may not be allowed to do that. Look to going to small claims court. If you sign a release to get the insurance check, you cannot recover... View More
Avoid a super speeder ticket?
answered on Aug 16, 2021
Each ticket depends on the facts and circumstances surrounding the issuance of the ticket and what the prosecutor is able to prove in court on your trial date so the answer is yes there is a chance. Your chances for a reduction increase if you hire a competent traffic ticket attorney to represent... View More
What was categorized as a traffic stop was really an investigation. Allegations of a traffic violation could not be substantiated. Further allegations during the traffic stop stated that drugs were found in plain view but those allegations are unsubstantiated as well. Even during a sentencing... View More

If exculpatory evidence exists the prosecutor is under an ethical duty to turn over that evidence.
I was close to my exit on the highway but i was on the left left lane so i sped up to pass because i couldnt get over. I was then pulled over because was going 102 on a 70. I am 19, this is basically my first ticket. What would the penalty or charge be? Do i need an attorney?
answered on Jul 31, 2021
Since it is your first ticket you are going to get SOME leniency, but it is a bad one. I advise taking a drivers ed course PRIOR to appearing in court to show you took this really seriously.
With your age and the speed you are looking at a lot of discretion in the hands of the prosecutor,... View More
What happens now? What do I do bc I can't find a probono in that area. I've never been in trouble so I don't know what to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated
answered on Jul 20, 2021
Call the court and ask them to reset the court hearing date. See if you an reach out to the prosecutor and work out a plea in abstentia.
Otherwise, find an attorney in the area who can handle that for you without you having to appear.
If i were the victim in a hit and run accident, and made a police report at the scene and whom they later arrested
answered on Jun 29, 2021
I’m glad to hear they found the hit and run driver. There should be an amended accident report from the resulting arrest with the driver’s information and their insurance company. You can file a claim against their auto insurance carrier to get compensated for your vehicle and injuries as a... View More

This is a 3 point violation and has the potential to increase your insurance rates. You need to negotiate it to something that won't effect your driving history or hire an attorney to negotiate for you. (and potentially save you from having to go to court).
No information left. Do I need a lawyer at my municipal Court appearance?
answered on Jun 3, 2021
It would be a good idea to have a lawyer for this one. You could end up with your license suspended depending on which one of the relevant statutes the officer used to charge you.
answered on May 17, 2021
Either call the court and find out, or hire a traffic ticket lawyer to proceed on your behalf.
I am unable to find the answers explicitly stating why you can only have a custom tag i.e. something like CSTOMTG on the plain white plate instead of on the other sponsored plates through other agencies and organizations. I've heard several people say "because it's state law" or... View More
