This part of your worker’s compensation claim can get tricky. Worker’s comp should pay benefits if your work restrictions cannot be accommodated, but that’s rarely what happens. Best to consult with a worker’s comp lawyer to fully understand your rights and responsibilities before moving... View More
In the fall I hurt my back. For 9 years the pain just kept getting worse. I ended up having surgery in Nov.2017. I am still out of work to this day and in jeopardy of losing my job. After the accident they gave me a office job, and I pretty much made my own hours. I'm guessing this was to pacify me.

Maybe not. It depends on what has happened in the meantime. Best to walk through it with a workers comp lawyer to be sure. My office offers free consultations.

If I was to return to work without restrictions would I still be entitled to my workers comp benefits while still being treated under that doctor

Workers comp will cut off your weekly checks if your doctor releases you to unrestricted duty work. If you get released to unrestricted duty work and you don't agree with that, your best bet is to retain a lawyer who can advise you of the best way to proceed.
I have extreme injuries to my back and have had 3 procedures. I have had conflicting statements from many Dr's from the first day. I was put on light duty by one , no work from another, my employer did not accept the light duty, my condition got worse and I could not function. I had to retain... View More

That's a question for your attorney.

The answer is probably yes if your doctor orders it. It can be difficult to get workers comp doctors to be sympathetic when it comes to issues like this. Consult a lawyer for best results in your workers comp case. There's a lot you need to know about your rights and responsibilities under the law.

Technically no, not exactly. But that does not mean you cannot be fairly compensated and it certainly does not mean that Worker’s Comp. should not move quicker to take care of your injuries. Get a free consultation with an experienced Worker’s Compensation attorney as soon as possible

There are many ways WC can suspend weekly checks. I’ve been with the co for over 20 years, and file WC for CTD in 2017. I was working teleport @ my GA residence on DOI. Employer didn’t have a tin in GA therefore I paid NY taxes. I'm a bit confused, as there are several questions here, but they're allowed (and almost always do this) to ask you to resign if you settle the case. If you don't, yes, they can create a light duty job for you to do so you can return there to work and stop getting weekly checks from workers' comp.
I was on an initial consultation, then the Attorney said she will send me the agreement. One of the paragraphs stated this:

It depends on where your accident occurred. Hopefully, in Georgia. Georgia‘s laws are much better for injured workers and our Florida’s.
