I told him that I had a hydrocodone on me he took it and told me that since I was honest that he wouldn't write me up for it. So he did not charge me with it he just charged me for my dead tags. Okay 3 days later they came and served me with a possession charge. Can they do that?
I have an outstanding absconding from parole warrant in which case I have served all the time it takes to be MRS eligible and paid my $15,000 in restitution in full and the case has since been closed out but now I have a family court case and can’t appear or I’ll be arrested on this warrant

If the warrant was generated before your parole expired then technically it could still be a valid warrant and you need to appear and get it taken care of. Realistically if you completed all your requirements you may not be asked to serve. It depends on the circumstances. I would contact an... View More

You may be charged with sexual abuse or any number of other sex offenses.

It depends what happened on your case. If there is any evidence of corruption that led to a jury finding you guilty there is a chance you can file a motion to have it overturned. If you voluntarily pled guilty it would be more difficult for you to now get out of that plea.
I was mentally abused by my ex husband who is a retired military veteran 20 years. We dated for 2.5 years and were married for 25 years and divorced now 7 years. I did not know that he was mentally abusing me till a couple years after I left him. I went through severe depression and almost died.... View More

Unless you waived all claims against him In your divorce agreement you could sue him for abuse however if you sue him outside of the family court context you would have to allege a viable claim In tort .. and it would have to fall within the Kentucky statute of limitations which would normally run... Right before the background check. You also might want to think about expunging that misdemeanor from your record so this is not an issue in the future.

I was pulled over by an officer...he never asked for license, insurance, or registration and came to the passenger side of the vehicle then demanded me and my passenger to get out of the car without any probable cause. We said no and the officer snatched me out of the car through the window of the... View More

It depends if they had probable cause. If they had reason to believe you all were engaged in criminal activity well before you got pulled over when you got pulled over then they may have a right to do what they did. If this was in Louisville they likely have body cam and will show exactly how they... View More
The judge revoked this person’s probation but stated the lawyer can file a motion for shock after 30 days. The judge also sent paper work over for this person to be evaluated for drug court, does that mean the judge is considering shock?

Possibly. If he goes to drug court, he has a chance to stay out of jail.

If he doesn’t have any record, the charge will likely be diverted and ultimately dismissed.

If you were not charged and not believied to be under the influence and did nothing against the law then you should not have any issues with your bond.

Technically it could be considered criminal trespass in the third degree if there are clear signs that this is private property or that you are in a housing development or section 8. If you were not charged by the police you likely don’t have anything to worry about.
