Q: Got a speeding ticket on I40 east, my ticket has several inaccuracies. My first name is spelled wrong, my licensing

state is wrong and my address state is wrong. I was doing 72 in a 65 with another car right next to me. The officer clocked that car first at 70 and choose to pull me over. On the ticket he put down 72 in a 55 which is false. When I pulled over it was in front of a speed limit sign stating 65. What... View More

The likely hood of a dismissal is so close to zero as to be virtually indistinguishable - especially if you try and handle it yourself and roll up into to Court saying all the incredibly irrelevant things you did in your question. Just hire the cheapest traffic attorney you can find and oh yeah,... View More

You? Likely, no. At least not properly. A traffic attorney - likely yes. If the address on your ticket is correct, you will be getting a crap ton of letters from traffic attorneys. You do not need F. Lee Bailey for a traffic ticket so just pick the cheapest one and roll with that. Oh, and... View More

If you aren't a mechanic and the transmission in your car goes out - you hire a mechanic. Likewise, if you aren't an attorney and you get a traffic ticket (especially one 22 over) - you hire a traffic attorney. If the address on your ticket is correct, you will be getting a crap ton of... Q: If my ticket doesn’t have any boxes checked off for whether I have to appear in court or not, What do I do?

I was pulled over for “failure to stop at a stop sign” and on the ticket, none of the back portion of it is filled out. Doesn’t tell me whether I have to appear for court or not.

Q: Can I get a dismissed speeding ticket removed from my driving record?

I recently found out that a ticket I received in December 2018 which was dismissed by the district attorney still shows up on my driving record. It does say it was dismissed, however I would rather not have it on my record at all. Is there a way to get it removed?

Of course not. It will remain a permanent part of your driving record. It is of course possible it could get removed due to some clerical error or other type of glitch but likely not due to your request unless you are powerful enough or have connections that are powerful enough but if you did,... Can it be dismissed - sure, but the real question is whether it is likely to be dismissed and the answer to that is - no. The DA has the authority to amend and correct errors on the citation and they will likely do so especially for a simple administrative error such as an incorrect address. As... View More

GREAT QUESTION

Actually, there is a process by which outstanding legal matters may be possibly dismissed. In fact, the statute says, the charges "must dismiss" the charges.

Expired registration is a misdemeanor so yes, you can appeal if you do so timely. However, that would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. Your registration was either expired or it was not - so there's not much to appeal. If it was not expired or if you came into compliance most ADA's... View More

The person rolling back is typically at fault. However, if they chose to lie and say you hit them, you will have a difficult time proving otherwise without dash cam or other video evidence or at least witness testimony. Years ago when auto insurance fraud was more prevalent, fraudsters would back... View More
