After paying the DMV summons issued by the officer I received a ticket through the mail for the same violation from NYC Department of Finance. Date ,time and intersection match. There is a little bit of ink spilled on this topic.
You are better off asking that the officer issued ticket be dismissed over the camera ticket, because the officer issued ticket carries points, the camera ticket does not.
I'm getting noticed saying I owe money on a car I don't own. All I have of record is the receipt I have him that he never took.

This doesn't sound like a traffic ticket question. I hope you turned the plates in.

Most Courts will allow a written plea of not guilty. Please do check with an attorney before pleading guilty.
Happened in Nassau County, turned right on red about a month and a half ago (1/14/18) received the ticket in the mail today.

The time limit to issue a ticket for a traffic violation is one year, so a month and a half to not too long. What they did wrong was mail the ticket to you. They needed serve you personally.
so I was double parked and saw the guy get out his car walking across the street. soon as I saw him I put the car in drive and dipped. i hate them.

You could plead guilty and pay them, or plead not guilty and fight them. You can higher an attorney to go to court for you.
Just don't ignore the tickets, which will make driving a crime.
Im a driver in New York, I was driving to Boston and received a ticket somewhere in between new jersey and Connecticut. Sounds like you better respond?
Most attorneys will give you a free consultation if you email/mail/fax over a copy of your ticket. That way you can know what you are dealing with.

Usually car insurance is based on the record of the insured drivers. Therefore, if your son is convicted, and your son is a named insured, your insurance can go up. If your son is not convicted, or if he is not a named insured, your car insurance should not go up.
I went to register a car and was unable to do so because of a suspension. I thought i paid these tickets but it was for something else

If they claim the tickets weren't paid, they still want your money, and they will accept your money.
The suspension stemmed from failing to respond to two different moving violations. She received two uniform ticket reports from the NY state trooper.

The main problem is the Misdemeanor. Although you are technically correct and the charge should be dismissed, you might offer to plead guilty to the incorrect charge, in exchange for the Misdemeanor being dismissed.
I recently got my first speeding ticket going 82 in a 65 and was not sure to send in a plea within 48 hours. Can I go to the town clerk to establish my plea before court or do I still need to send it in?
answered on Feb 19, 2018
The 48 hour rule is an old rule no longer in effect. You actually have until the date printed on the bottom left hand side of your ticket.

Your license in NY is already suspended. A check of your NY driving record will show in which court the ticket was filed.

Good question. With traffic tickets they usually have up to 1 year. This is a parking ticket, so it may be different.
Does cop need to submit the ticket in order for it to be valid? That's what the tvb said.
I got an “operating without insurance ticket on 2-13-18. And “uninspected motor vehicle” the officer said I could dismiss ticket by showing proof on insurance and proof of car inspection I was very scared so I really didn’t catch much detail of what was said. Do I have to purchase... View More

Being that you did not actually have insurance that day, the ticket isn't dismiss-able. This insurance ticket is a big deal. You are facing fines over $2,250 and a year revocation of your driver's license.
I got a ticket two years ago for "wrong turn". Because the schedule of the hiring is only once a year (I reschedule online),after two reschedules of trial next month will be two years since I got the ticket. Can the ticket be dismissed ? If the answer is no, do I have any chances if I... View More

If the court adjourned itself for more than 2 years you could ask for a dismissal. If you were the one who asked for the adjournment, the time works against you, not for you.
I never heard a thing about it was wondering if there was a time period to be charged

Hard to understand your question. Are you saying that you received a ticket for driving without a license 6 years ago, and you just received a court date now?
If so, it depends. If you didn't plead not guilty, the time is charged to you, because you didn't do what you needed to... View More
Ticket was in the same area. Will the old ticket be considered now since I got another one? Also, officer wrote 74 I’m a 65 on the front of ticket and 85 on the deposition in the back. Which one is correct and considered by the court?
answered on Feb 13, 2018
You are charged with 74/65, a 3 point ticket. The officer is saying that he already gave you a break down from 85/65, a 4 point ticket. Based on this, they may or may not be willing to give you a plea deal.

it will not appear until after court, unless you do not respond to the ticket and receive a suspension
