He needs his license because he works on Uber

Typically, they don't suspend a license for a parking violation, there must be another reason for the suspension.

Yes, the police officer can do that, and they often do, unless its against department regulations.
The ticket also says I was following to close and that I made an unsafe lane change. It's an 11 point ticket (license suspension).

Orangetown is a great Court for bad tickets like this speed. You can probably get a plea deal by yourself but an attorney will probably get a better deal for you than you can get yourself.
I have a few tickets and I’m currently awaiting the court dates for them. But if my license gets suspended from 2 of the 4 what will happen with the other two tickets that I have to go to court for after the suspension due to the first 2. Would I also be able to obtain a permit or something if I... View More

Its a little hard to follow your question. It sounds like you received 4 tickets on 4 different days. I have no idea why your license would become suspended, unless you were ignoring 2 of the tickets. Again, I have no idea why you would ignore your tickets.
I was driving and it wasn’t my normal work hours but I do plumbing for a living and my company offers emergency heating. For the future, get a blue tooth or other hands free device. Your story is moving, but people die every day on the road due to distracted driving.

Yes you can change your plea to guilty now, unless you were also charged with a misdemeanor. You are probably suspended and the charge will add an extra fine on top of the ticket.
Or will it just be a fine? I was going 97 in a 50 and I got one for being in the left passing lane. I’m only 18 I’m broke and I can’t afford a good lawyer so I just wanted to know how bad this is for me. This is also my very first any kind of traffic ticket/speeding

If your license is from NY and all your tickets are in NJ, you should talk to NJ attorneys.
As long as you do not get suspended in NJ, these points will not affect you here in NY.
Hello! I've just received a speeding ticket in Nassau County, NY and had questions about the process of pleading not guilty. I was given a date on the ticket to mail in not guilty, or show up in person to plead not guilty.
I have the following questions:
1. I don't want... View More

1. You can plead not guilty in advance.
2. I don't know.
3. This is not correct, as follows:
The points affect your record for insurance purposes starting from the date you are convicted, until 4 years later.
For DMV purposes, the points affect your record... View More

The suspension can affect your NY driver's license, and the conviction can affect your NY driving record. You should talk to a Quebec attorney about your options to fight this ticket.

Once you plead not guilty, a traffic infraction needs to be scheduled within 2 years, barring extreme circumstances.
Hi I was issued 2 tickets on Long Island new york in Suffolk County they wrote the wrong date and put my name wrong But the prosecutor says “it can be reissued or amended”my father is a peace officer with the state and he’s never heard of anything like this is it legal for them to do this?
answered on Mar 7, 2018
Mistakes in the form of the ticket result in a dismissal without prejudice, which means that they can be re-issued. But they would need to be re-served personally within one year. Often, they don't bother to re-serve once a simple ticket is dismissed.

Not in the New York City Traffic Court. Its not really a court. Learn more about the TVB at https://www.change.org/p/change-new-york-city-traffic-courts-to-real-courts
What is my legal defense going about pleading not guilty. My car is registered under Florida.

Often the police give you a ticket if any part of your plate was obstructed, or if you have a cover. Was your plate obstructed or not? If your plate numbers were still legible, that's your argument.
This is a moving violation, which does not carry points, but will affect your driving... View More

If you never receive a ticket, you aren't charged, and you don't have to worry about it.
The police officer could still track you down and serve you personally, which would result in a valid ticket. If the officer mails the ticket to you, the ticket would be invalid, and you... View More

No, because the ticket is for speeding. Which car it was in isn't really relevant.
I was doing 45 in 30mph. Officer given ticket. How long before the points don’t show or erase from your driving record or before I job can’t use it against you. I got 6 points in January 2016 and this job requires less than 3 points on license.
answered on Mar 7, 2018
Hi,
The points stay on your record for about 4 years from the date of conviction.
So I was issued the ticket because I passed an officer within the same lane. However, on the ticket the code violation cited is 1110A (failure to obey traffic device). I obeyed all devices, sort of...there is a section of law specifically for motorcycles traveling between lanes.
answered on Mar 6, 2018
You can't get it dismissed for that. 1110-a is a catchall in a way. The officer will specify what type of sign you disobeyed at trial.
If you are outside the traffic violations bureau, you can ask for a supporting deposition and the officer will need to specify what sign you violated.
I live in NY and was ticketed for doing 80mph in a 65mph (Interstate). It’s my first offense and I’ve wrote an appeal. I’ve heard that a first offense doesn’t raise your insurance rate. Is this true? I’m on a family plan so getting a 15% increase would be a $600 charge onto our bill.

The New York State Department of Financial Services regulations do not permit your insurance company to increase your auto insurance premium for a conviction of 15 m.p.h. or less over the speed limit.
However, when this law was passed every insurance company woke up and started issuing... View More
