Joint custody has little effect on child support. Even shared custody can result in child support if there is a disparity in your incomes.

Your attorney can file to both modify the custodial agreement and to hold her in contempt and assess her with attorney fees and court costs.

You can appeal it within 30 days or hire an attorney and file for a change in custody after there is a change in circumstances.

She should not have left with the child without permission of the court. She needs to hire a custody lawyer in that Parish immediately to seek divorce & custody & relocation

Q: Am I technically getting served if processor served my mom but it was for me? Do I have to show up for court?

A private processor went to my moms house and served her papers that were meant for me. I do not live with my mom. She lives in Louisiana and i stay in Houston. Does it still mean I got served even though I have knowledge of it?

First get a drug store DNA test, if she will cooperate. Then hire a family law attorney to do a disavowal.
