You need to contact the bar association for the state where the attorney is. Further, who is handling the estate?

You should contact a member of the Michigan Assn for Justice--they give free consultations--and get a personal meeting as situations like this are difficult to evaluate over the phone. Much depends on your father's situation, where he was in the pool, other matters.

Sounds like neglect. You'd need to see the autopsy report. If she'd been at the doctor before and hadn't been fkagged there may be malpractice.Contact a member of the Michigan assn for Justice--they give free consultations.

No.You don't "marry in" to liability for something before marriage (and with marriage unlikely to be responsible for anything during it).

I believe criminal murder cases can be reopened. Might be too later to bring a civil claim, but check with a local criminal defense and/or injury lawyer.
