Yes, going too slow can be an offense, particularly if impeding traffic. How you passed this vehicle could also be an offense, depending if you crossed double lines, or committed some other type of offense. Thank you for using Justia's Ask a Lawyer, but don't rely on what you are told... View More

Yes, it is the usual posted speed limit, as opposed to a temporary speed limit for construction for instance.
I’m married to US citizen and filed for adjustment of status and employment authorization. At this point I have my I-797 receipt notice and have done the biometrics. My home country drivers license, passport and US visa are valid. Can I drive in the state of NH while I wait for my EAD?

Thanks for posting your question. I represent only folks charged with a crime so I would do not actually bring any charges. However, in the past I have represented citizens that have been charged for entering a closed road with various violations.

After work I visit my boyfriend at his apartment complex. My boyfriend owns the apartment and his HOA says nothing about not being able to have guests daily. I used the vistor parking. A New Hampshire attorney could advise best, but you await a response for three weeks. Unfortunately, if you hired legal representation, the costs would exceed your damages, with no guaranteed outcome. You could look into small claims court in your county. Good luck

The Court and the NH DMVar e completely separate entities. NH DMV has statutory authorities and administative rules that control. The hearing at the DMV does not require nor depend on a criminal case.
It also seems like the court cleared the default and a new date will be set.... View More

Unlikely --and very dangerous--even if you can, you don't want to.
The buses were lined up along the front of the school, in the parking lot, loading students. The school parking lot is opposite where the buses line up. I was pulling into a parking spot. There were no pedestrians anywhere in the lot. The school resource officer ran over and said he was writing me... View More

I'd recommend calling the NH DMV and just asking them. There are likely administrative regulations which lay out the rules for that process.
