If the police ask you any questions, demand to speak to an attorney. And it's not a good idea to admit to the commission of a felony on a public forum such as this.

Q: If a foreign LLC owns a condo in FLA & intends to rent it out - do they have to obtain a certificate of authority?

What is the meaning of "without more" in Statute 608.501(2)(m)? Does renting constitute more and thus not fit into the exception to having to obtain the certificate?

Is this a trick question? There is no chapter 608. Your question is not a basic question about the law. Go see a local business attorney with all of your questions.

My lease ends on 10/31, but I am already out so I turned my power off. My landlord said that I either have to turn them back on or she is going to turn them on and I have to pay for it. Is that right? Am I required to keep my power on through the end of the lease?

You still have not given us much facts to go on here. Was he arrested yet? If not he will be taken to jail when he is arrested, most likely. This is a criminal law question. You ask what happens, and I have already explained the basics to you more than once. He will be charged with the crime of... View More

You need to speak with your own attorney about this. You have already plead guilty? That was a mistake. If you still have time to enter another plea, I suggest that you take the diversion program.

You have not given enough information here for a meaningful response to either question. Just the questions with no facts is all you have provided. Is there a hearing? Was there a hearing? What was the result? Is the injunction a temporary one? What are the grounds for dismissal? Get an attorney... View More

They "gave" you the house? Does that mean that you are now the owner? It is your parents. I suggest that you listen to your parents and negotiate who can and who cannot visit.

Correction: the title says that you live there for free (implying it's not yours), but in the body you say they gave it to you. If they indeed transferred title to you, they have no right to tell you whether you can or can not do anything with the house. And you can tell them not to enter... View More

So evidently there was no will. It seems odd that you were to pay the note off and yet get the vehicle as a part of you share.

The Statute of Frauds may be a problem. This deal should have been put in writing.

I suggest that you file a formal claim with the probate estate and let...

No, you cannot testify that it wasn't his without incriminating yourself. And I fail to see how it "obviously" didn't belong to him. You should refuse to answer ANY questions because to do so might tend to incriminate you. You cannot pick and choose which questions you want to answer.
