I caused an accident with a motorcycle less than a week ago. Couldn't provide proof of insurance at the accident, because it had lapsed over a month prior, but I do have insurance now. You need to conact an attorney who handles license suspension cases. Sometimes posting a bond will do it. The other person is primarily interested in insurance, not you. First up is making sure that the cancellation was correct. Second, be prepared to pay for their car damage.Usually what triggers... View More

My car was hit while parked on 3/19/16. The drivers insurance paid for $3,500 worth of damage. I received my car back on 6/30/16. I ended up taking it to a dealership shortly after to get inspected. The dealership told me it had major frame damage. The damage was on the left rear drivers side of... View More

Won't pay all expenses. Need a rental for 4 days. They'll only pay for 3. Estimate for repairs $1475. They'll only pay $1100. What are my options. Small claims court with the insured driver possibly?

Assuming no collision, then : repairs (& rental)--have your repair shop talk to their adjuster. If they won't budge, file a complaint with the state insurance commissioners office. If you were injured, contact a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
RANDOLPH county Indiana. We live in the country, not within city limits. Our dog was half on the road and half on our property. A lady was speeding down our road and drug the dog over 100 feet, did not stop. Went down the road about 1/2 or so and made a police report once she noticed her car was... View More

Report it to your homeowners. Let them deny her. You may have a claim for the dog though in most states the value is minimal.

If there was negligence, you can sue. Talk to an injury lawyer.

For the ER bill? Probably. File a claim with the church's automobile insurer. There may be no-fault personal injury coverage, otherwise it appears that the driver was negligent. But don't look for a large payday; I don't see much in the way of damages (other than, as I say, the ER bill).

Not clear on your question. In many states, if your car was totaled, you are entitled to the fair market value at the time of the accident. If you were injured, talk to a local injury lawyer.

No. But studies have shown you probably get about 4-5 times more $ than without an attorney. The studies were done by guess who??? The insurance companies! They try to keep you from an attorney because they KNOW they will have to pay less if they pay you at all.

Yes. But in some circumstances if the claims are both filed in court they may be consolidated into one case to save on judicial resources.
