Q: Is arbitration,mediation,or court better for my divorce if me and my spouse agree on everything in the divorce.

We have 1 kid but we both agree on that to we just want to get a quick easy divorce that is cheap.

If everything is agreed to then it is an uncontested divorce and there should be no reason for mediation or arbitration. If everything is agreed to, then it is only a matter of drafting the divorce agreement and having both parties sign it.

You would need to see if the divorce agreement between the parties mentions the life insurance and then you will need to contact and Attorney that specializes in trust and estate litigation.

Q: Husband threatening to divide joint bank acct, charge me for half rent/utilities. Can he do that?

It is not normal to get jail time on your first offense for shoplifting unless it is a very large amount or something else happened. Did you have an experienced private attorney representing you?

Q: I have joint custody of my daughter and visitation rights and her mother left the state without filing proper documents

She signed a false undocumented illegal guardianship form to her friend without my consent and I had to file an eco which was declined. So I have to file a jurisdiction transfer or do I? She was in Kentucky but is now in Florida how would that work?

Q: If I have a custody/child support agreement in VA, can I file for divorce in KY where live? Separated 6 years.

my wife and I have been separated for 6 years and have 2 daughters. There is a custody agreement and child support agreement based in the Virginia court's. I live in Kentucky now and want to divorce her. Can I file the paperwork in Kentucky without having to redo the custody agreement?

You can file for divorce at anytime. You do not need his permission. You will likely not be able to have him leave the home right away unless he agrees or there are allegations of abuse etc. A divorce in Kentucky takes at least 60 days if you have children and can be faster if you do not have... He should have a right to see his children unless those right were fully taken away by a Court which is very rare. You should have a pretty straightforward divorce. I still recommend you consult an attorney to make sure there are not any mistakes. As far as tax returns you do not have to have them off to file for divorce.
