Been employed 19 yrs now employer is mandating a federal background check. It ask if you ever been convinced of misappropriation or misappropriation of funds. If I have a retail fraud conviction 7-8 yrs ago do I need to disclose that in this part of the form? I would rather not mention it at all.

Misappropriate would must often mean embezzlement, not necessarily retail fraud.
