Q: I'm on SSI. I'm planning to get a divorce, asap. I don't know if I should stay on SSI, or try to get spousal support.

Take a criminal

Complaint against him for terroristic threatening, harassment, Harassing communications and menacing. You may also want to consider an EPO or an IPO against him as well.

You need to file a petition for dissolution of marriage in the circuit court for the county in which you reside. Support and custody will be dealt with after you file your petition.

Q: What can I do legally if I'm on the deed but not the mortgage loan?

My husband and I are separated. He is currently in jail for violating the restraining order I have against him. I want to sell the house, pay off the mortgage, and split the profit with him. Am I legally able to do any of this if I am on the deed but not the mortgage loan?

Yes. The deed concerns ownership. If you are divorcing and he is in jail, you will need authority from the court to sell the property.

No. Both parents should have the availability to obtain medical information regarding the minor child. Depending on ownership at the time of the incident, you may be able to file a contempt motion with the Court. However, it is unclear if you came to an agreement regarding the marital home since that incident.

Varies plan by plan. His plan administrator will know. It could be now, at 62, at 65, at his retirement or at any other time the plan permits

The fact that she got married will not make a difference In Kentucky. It is the income of the mother that matters. If the child is over three and she is still not working you may be able to file to modify.

You should know Kentucky now has new laws for child support in a 50/50 time sharing...

File a petition for dissolution of marriage. File all financial information. Go to mediation and try to resolve. If not resolved, get a trial date from the court.

Depends on the terms of the plan. Each plan is different. You may be able to draw now, or you may have to wait until your spouse starts drawing. The plan administrator can tell you for sure.

It is always best to consult with a lawyer when dealing with a divorce. You are not eligible for a public defender in a divorce case. Q: What does a judge mean by “read the riot act” to a person on pre trail diversion?

My ex wife is on pre trial diversion for child support. I never receive hardly anything (maybe 20 a month), when she’s ordered to pay $500. She had court and I was told the judge “read the riot act” to her. What does this mean?

That is slang for the judge told her he was going to send her to prison if she didn’t make the most of the pretrial diversion opportunity or if she committed any new crimes. It’s a stern waning not to screw up.
