I've tried to donate it and even contacted the neighbors on both sides of the lot and nobody wants it since they'd have to pay taxes on it. I'd rather not be delinquent, but what options do I have to get rid of the property?

You need to review the purchase agreement to determine what your rights are. The agreement should state what your legal obligations are.

Home is in name of spouse and deceased mother. Proceeds must be split between spouse and estate

answered on May 19, 2019
Yes also you need to consult an attorney for this. While the property is in both name there are estate taxes that need to be taken care of and if you are married your wife has an interest. You really need to retain an attorney to get you through this transaction.

answered on Apr 4, 2019
If she does not show up in court she could have a judgment entered against her. If the loan was made from brother to brother I am not sure how he can legally claim she owes the money.
