If a permanent resident accept FAFSA gift aid, is there any possibility the government will inquire it back? For example if the government gifted me $4000 could they charge it back?
answered on Apr 21, 2020
Permanent residents may receive FAFSA. There might be other reasons that they might want you to pay it back, like for fraud. As for you being a permanent resident, it won't have any effect on citizenship.
This question was answered before, but I was missing some details. I have included more details:

As the Myron said, marriage is the quickest. The other option would be an EB-1C. Both don't seem to be problematic. Please speak with an attorney to help with either or both.
Filled i751 in 2013. And status has changed to waiver in 2016. Then case status changed to "transfered local office" feb.2018
Now April 2020 says that transfered to the another office. Does anyone know what is that mean ?
Thanks

This definitely should not have taken 7 years. Call USCIS or file a case inquiry on their website. It's well outside of case processing times.
The incident occurred between former spouses. The offender is a permanent resident since 2014.

It depends. It would be up to the officer who receives any referral. It would have to be severe enough to revoke LPR status. Also, because the person is an LPR, the person would receive a notice to appear and notice of hearing to go to court to argue in court whether they should have their LPR... View More
Do we need to declare Unemployment Benefits in filling out I-944? If Yes, is it a General assistance or Any Federal, State, tribal cash assistance for income maintenance ? The question is in I944 page 8 question #16.
Thank you for anyone who can help me.
answered on Apr 20, 2020
Unemployment is not considered under the public charge rule, so do not list it under the public benefits section of the 944.
Question 6, on page 4, is where you'll add any extra income. I would recommend adding it since it won't go against you. Also, at least in CA, it's... View More

You can check processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
For CA for a 130, the processing time is 8 Months to 10.5 Months. However, right now, the times are different, so it might take a little longer.

The 944 is for the petitioner for the 485, which I'm guessing is you. Your family will be listed on it, but you only need 1 944. For the 864, you'll need it and if you need a joint sponsor if your salary is not enough. So, 1 for you, and 1 for a joint sponsor if needed. I strongly... View More

Things are very fluid right now, so it's unclear how the state department will take the inability to travel into account when residents begin returning after being stuck out of the US. Under normal circumstances, there is an option called the returning resident visa (SB-1) that you can look into.
I came to us by immigration lottery, and I applied for citizenship last October and I paid the fee and I quitted my job last December, on last February they sent me letter for interview but they canceled because coronavirus now I want apply for unemployment, it affect my application for citizenship?

I came in the US with a tourist visa, and my 3 years old son was born in New York. We went back home in Africa but had to take him back because of his autism. There’s no specialized center nor well trained people where I am from. Is there a way to adjust my status because of my son’s concern?

Try to find an employer who will sponsor you either for an H1B or even an EB, or you can marry a US citizen. It also depends on what your qualifications or experience is. Speak with a lawyer who can go through all of your options because this is a very broad question. Good luck.
I filed 2018 and 2019 taxes with my spouse and we currently make less than $150,000

Not sure your question, but you should be eligible. For your husband, it depends on whether he remained in the US for over 183 days. Along with the SSN, he'll be considered a resident alien for tax purposes. If so, he'll be eligible as well.

No, the public charge rule or a stimulus check will not affect your naturalization application. It does not apply to LPRs nor to anyone naturalizing.

Just use your green card to enter the US. Is the activity less than a full-time occupation?
