Liability will rest with the at-fault driver. That driver's insurance (assuming he has it) should cover your damages. If he/she does not have insurance, then your uninsured motorist policy should cover your damages. Whether your husband was an excluded driver could complicate a claim for... View More

Q: Can I get a ticket 2 months later after an accident. I found out my insurance had lapsed at the time of accident

The other party is threatening to have his cop buddies write me a ticket since they found out my insurance was lapsed and take me to court to pay his fees. I thought I had insurance. If he was on a lane you'd use to exit the lot he had the right of way and 500 for a full release may not be a bad deal.

Driving without insurance can mean your license could be suspended to get insurance, get a release for the 500 would be my advice. You can check with a member of the...

Usually no as you are only getting back that which you already paid taxes on. Check with your state representative for starters--has nothing to do with veterans just that it's not "income" in most states. If you had sold the car that would be different--even there you'd be... View More

You haven't said who is at fault. The p;roblem if you do is that usually you will say things that torpedo your case--either the fault issue or the extent of your injuries. You need to talk to a member of the Ark. Trial Lawyers Assn--they give free consults.

Not sure what you mean. If you mean will you be sued, looks like you might. If you don't have insurance worth at least getting a consult on the ticket from an attorney who handles tickets in the county where your ticket hearing would be.

I'd say you could. Even without PD, if you were driving and bac is over 2% if minor. If adult you are near the line that I understand is 8%. If you got a citation get a consultation from an attorney who handles DUI cases, even if you have to pay.

No one can give you an answer over the internet without seeing the report, knowing the light sequence etc. If the light starts out with an arrow then goes to green, if you were stopped and then went on a left turn while other traffic was held, that's different from other light sequences.... They need to get an attortney who handles criminial charges. A lot depends on where they wre. If they were not in traffic, and no one was behind the wheel maybe the cop just got it wrong.
