Q: My son was adopted at a young age.Now hes turning 17 and wants to see me and talk to me but adopted parents say no.

Ive sent msg and tried to keep in contact all these years. He also wants to meet his 5yr old brother who i have...is there anything we can do?

Not until you turn 18. After that, you can freely contact them and communicate with them!

Yes, it is possible. See my last answer. His record is not automatically expunged when he turns 18.

In certain circumstances when committed, the court can retain jurisdiction until they are 19.

Q: I turn 18 in 100 days and I have a job, if I move in with my friend with parental consent, could I get in legal trouble?

I have been metally abused by my step-mom, which my dad doesn't notice, is this possible without getting into legal trouble because I don't want my sisters to get taken out of a home that is good for them and not for me?

Q: I’m 16, I’ll be 17 in few months. I’m trying to get away from my mother and go on my own, I looked into emancipation.

I need more information into it, such as if I take it to court what do I need to prove I can be emancipated. You’ll need to seek emancipation in the district court of the county in which you reside. Check with the district clerk and they can tell you how the judge in your county handles them.

We have an ongoing social worker, court has been taken to trail. Kids temporarily placed with only mother father now has supervised visitations and was charged with neglect. Yes, she does. Regardless of what anyone else is telling you, you c as n only be emancipated by a court.

Yes. When they get mad at him, he could be charged with Unlawful Transaction with a Minor. He should be VERY careful.

Q: I'm am 15 and trying to get away from home, is their a way I can get emancipated in eddyville, ky?

I'm having problems at home and trying to get away but I don't have any other family to live with and I spoke with a social worker and she said only way to live with a friend is if my parent/ legal guardian would let me otherwise court won't allow it

You can always try for emancipation on your own but it is unlikely the court will allow it.

Q: I'm 17 and I want to move out of my dad's and live with my Aunt. Can I do that without his consent?

Would my Aunt get into trouble? could he make me go home even if he knew I was safe?
