At court I was informed by the judge of this up to 30 days an officer can write additional traffic violations tickets then mail them to you, so my ? Is are the police required to inform you of that at the time of incident took place?
answered on Jun 10, 2019
No the police are not required to tell you they are going to send you more tickets, they can just do it. I would suggest hiring a lawyer this doesn't sound good.
warrant sent to my house and when i got pulled over recently i was told my license was clean. what’s happening? should i expect a warrant or what?
answered on Jun 10, 2019
It can take, days, weeks or even months for a warrant to show up, don't risk it as then you will have to pay much more. Call the court say you need a new payment plan, they will give you a court date and you can discuss this with the judge and bring some money with you. Its better to ask... View More
The case is several years old and the cop did not witness the accident. Would the witnesses listed in the police report be required to testify or would the courts rely on the police report as evidence for trial. The reason I ask about that is the where the location of the witnesses live and would... View More

All the state needs is the police officer who came to the scene it's called accident reconstruction they do not necessarily need the witnesses unless they feel they have a week case. As for proof all they have to show is that you drove without due caution or circumspection so for example... View More

My wife received a ticket for NO Driving license. But she provided the international driving licenses + Italian country driving license + passport and Visa.
The officer refused the IDL and said that you cannot drive with an international license here in NJ.
Is this true? what can we do ?
answered on Jun 5, 2019
The cop maybe right unfortunately many international driver's licenses are fake and are not the one that is recognized by the State of New Jersey. I suggest you set up one of the free in office consultations that some of us traffic ticket lawyers offer. This is a serious offense with serious... View More
I was issued a total of 10 summons From failure to make repairs to abandonment on a highway and car was parked against fence of family property. I’m so confused

Much more information would be needed to properly answer your question, but you're not allowed to abandon a car on your property or on public property however if it's on your property you have a much better defense depending on the circumstances.
Hello, I received a speeding ticket going 22mph above the speed limit which was 30 mph. This is my first traffic violation since I started driving in 2014! Even though I admit that I was speeding but I don't believe that this was my speed. I looked to the speedometer at the time I was cited... View More

Yes you should fight it, but if you want to get no points on a 4 point ticket you will need a good lawyer. You can probably go to court yourself and get the 4 point ticket reduced to two, by asking the prosecutor, but to get zero you would need a lawyer. However, one work around is available to... I received a ticket last week and another ticket today due to an expired inspection sticker.would I be able to fight this? I don’t feel paying for the same issue twice is fair.
answered on May 24, 2019
Unfortunately if you did not get the tickets on the same day the judge is going to be hard-pressed to dismiss one of the tickets.
However, iff you go to court and ask you may get it.

By law you must attempt to stop on a yellow, but as long as it didn't turn red your ok, but if you get a ticket get a lawyer this is a serious ticket which could involve jail time, community service and 5 points.
what do I do?
answered on May 6, 2019
The state trooper did not send you to court the law did, it is a mandatory court appearance the trooper has no say in that because only the judge can determine the fine. Its considered a form of punishment to mandate your appearance in court. If its your first offense cheapest just to go to court... View More

This is because the motor vehicle commission is notoriously slow, this is to your advantage as you were still driving.

Requested 10 day delay to allow for classes and finals to be completed so as to not conflict with appearance date. Clerk indicated this was not possible and scheduled court date... View More

You have no right to an adjournment it is always within the courts discretion. In this case since your request was denied you must go to court otherwise you have the possibility of a warrant being issued. I would suggest hiring a lawyer as a lawyer could not only probably lower the points but... View More

The defense would be based on the reason why you left the car on the property.
It was more than 120days when it was heard so what can I do about it plus I was giving 6 months in jail. It was heard in different court

DWIs and refusal cases are very serious and you can lose your license for 7 to 12 months for a first offense. You should consult with an attorney to see if the police followed the requirements in order to administer the Alcotest. Also, an attorney can examine whether the machine was calibrated... View More

Sure it could be considered tresspassing. If charged get a lawyer.
The officer did not ask the passenger her age. I did not realize it was for an underage passenger until I looked at the ticket when I got home. I pleaded not guilty and was given a new court date and no other instructions or options

Best bet is to bring that person with you to court show the judge this persons ID and the ticket should be dismissed.
