What can I do to be able to get a drivers license? Thank you
answered on Jul 27, 2020
The DMV will not give you a license if you have a single unpaid ticket. Pay attention to 2019 Bill Text NY A.B. 7463 which may eliminate this law.

Yes they are, and the lowered speed limits are still in effect in most places.
It was the week before covid hit new york. If you are afraid to call the court yourself, you may need a lawyer. Realistically, very little has happened in the courts during covid.
Driver pulled out in front of me over 2 sets of double yellow lines without looking. He attempted to make a left turn resulting in me tboning him. The insurance company only accepted 50% liability.
answered on Jul 11, 2020
As a general rule, it is not permissible under ordinary circumstances. An attorney might be able to assess liability more meaningfully after reviewing police report, any witness statements, insured's version of events told to the carrier, and carrier's basis in making their determination.... I do not believe it will affect your GA drivers license, but you should check with the GA DMV to be certain. You should consider retaining a NY attorney to represent in this matter. You would not have to appear.
I was insured, but forgot my ID card. Can I get the 0319 01u dismissed?
Can I face jail time?
I forgot to answer the summons but rectified before my license was suspended.
answered on Jun 17, 2020
If you get a coverage letter from the insurance company indicating that on the date in question, the vehicle’s insurance policy was in full force and effect, the ticket will be dismissed. The courts will not accept and insurance card or a letter from a broker. It needs to come from your insurance... View More
I wrote the traffic department explaining the reason for my speed but they didn't throw out the tickets. Can I sue for the unnecessary stress it brought me?
answered on Jun 15, 2020
You can't sue for the stress. There is no legal theory on which to base such a cause of action. If you believe it won't adversely impact your job, you could politely ask if reimbursement from the hospital is possible. The answer is likely to be no at most workplaces, but these are unusual... I got a speeding ticket going 36 on a 25 from a speeding camera in NYC, and I'm from Missouri. If I pay this ticket will I get points on my license, making my insurance rate go up?
answered on Jun 11, 2020
You will not get points, and your insurance should not increase. Reason, the camera shows the vehicle speeding, but not who was driving the vehicle. It is error to assume the owner/registrant is the driver
answered on Jun 5, 2020
Unfortunately, you cannot negotiate fines and penalties in New York City. You must clear up the outstanding tickets in order to get your license back.
Shouldn’t the inspection be waived since it’s quarantine? Will registering the vehicle before showing up to court resolve this? What should I do?
answered on May 27, 2020
Great question. The NYS DMV has announced that registrations will not expire during the lock down, but this does not mean that NYS permits driving a vehicle that was never registered.
The process in court depends heavily on which court the tickets are filed in.

Assuming you are writing the citation correctly "VTL 375-2(a)3" this is an equipment violation, for no/insufficient tail lamp. As long as you pay the ticket, the ticket will not affect your driving record.
I was the passenger in a car where the driver license was suspended. I was instructed to get in the driver seat because my license was valid. The ticket you received was for allowing a suspended driver to operate a vehicle for which you, apparently, had custody and control.
But there is not a white line ir a cross line for people to cross ?
answered on May 6, 2020
A stop sign can have a white line it interacts with, but a stop sign does not need a white line to be valid. Take a look at the statute:

This is an 11 point speeding ticket, which means your driver's license can be suspended for this ticket alone. An attorney can likely get get some of the points reduced, so your license does not get suspended.

perfect and an emergency vehicle was approaching in my rearview mirror. Can I challenge the Red light camera ticket, although the emergency vehicle was about 250 feet behind me?
answered on Apr 23, 2020
Can you challenge the ticket? Certainly. Are you saying that you yielded to the emergency vehicle? Was this ticket issued by a police officer, or a camera? Police issued red light tickets are worth 3 points.

Was that the only ticket that you received? If so, get a letter from the dealer that it was their vehicle and proof that the car was re-registered. You can have an attorney to represent you and you would not even have to appear.

Hard to read the paper you have in your hand without seeing it. Most attorneys will read that letter for you for free, as part of your initial consultation. Send it over to someone by fax or email.
I got a ticket for driving 82 in a 65 with a permit but the officer did not gave me a ticket for that what do u think is the result of that

This depends on many factors. What county? Is this a first offense? You need to talk to a local attorney who handles traffic matters.
