You cannot withdraw your guilty plea but you have 30 days from when he fully with need to file an appeal in the county court. You will then get a new court date. Get a lawyer to represent you so hopefully you can get your points reduced. You will get a letter from PennDOT shortly that imposes... View More
Officer told me I could ask for speed to be reduced at Magistrate. Should I sign up for traffic school, pay fine and plead for mercy to reduce points?
answered on Nov 21, 2021
It depends on the judge whether you should go to traffic school or not. Your speed is a five point major violation but it is not too terribly fast so that’s why I believe traffic school is optional. It is definitely worth it to go to court to try to get the points reduced and also, many judges... View More
Can I fight this since wrong model car.
answered on Nov 6, 2021
Possibly. Was the color correct? Was the license plate correct. Get a lawyer to help you. If it cant be fought then perhaps you can get a reduction of points so your insurance doesnt find out. Good luck!
I was pulled over for running a stop sign. I know I stopped and my passenger confirmed this as well. The officer did not ask me to sign anything or give me a ticket. Instead he said I would get a citation in the mail. I have asked around and no one locally (it was a local officer) has heard of... View More

It is not uncommon but the citation must be filed within 30 days. It is a 3 point offense on your record so it is worth it to plead not guilty. Many judges will let your lawyer go to court for you so you may not even have to attend the court hearing to get your points reduced. Good luck!
I was pulled over for speeding. I was trying to speed up to pass and change lanes because the car behind me was driving way to close to my tail. Officer pulled me over. Didn't end up giving me a speeding ticket when I explained it but did give me a ticket for not putting on my flashers when he... View More

I can for certain that if you have a Pennsylvania license, you will not receive any points for that section. That may vary if you have an out of state license, but I have never seen that section result in points even for an out of state license. Best wishes.

Unfortunately, no. Expungement applies only to criminal records. Your driving record is not considered a criminal record. Wish I had a better answer for you. Best wishes.
I received a traffic ticket for unsafe lane change in May. The same ticket from another DJ office in August. Docket on both the 1st dismissed on 8/6 & 2nd one was filed. Officer did not file the original ticket at the correct DJ office. Can I claim statue of limitation since the 2nd ticket was... View More

There is a 30 day statute of limitations for traffic tickets. Get a lawyer to go to court to fight it. Good luck!
And they were on me. I have lived here for 5 years and I've never seen any cops. Pull anybody over for anything.
I never heard anyone anywhere getting pulled over for this is this a reason to get pulled over????

Plead not guilty. You weren't driving on the roadway--you were manoevering your vehicle.
I received a written warning in a company car. I live in PA and the written warning is in MD. Will the written warning show up on my driving record? If not, is there any way my company could find out about the written warning? I am also unsure of when anything would show up on a driving record. Any... View More
I was ticketed through the mail in March of 2020, I contested it, received an initial court date in January of 2021. The DJ stated that she would need the officer who actually ticketed me on resubmitted my court date, telling me it would be a few weeks. My court is set for Nov 30th and I am... View More

Yes, but do you have reason to believe it was someone else?
I was cited "failed to drive within a single lane and or movement from lane was not made safely" by a state trooper. I plead not guilty to that citation in July. Today I receive notice that my license will be suspended tomorrow due to failing to respond to the same citation and lists the... View More

Get all the paperwork in the docket for #1 & #2. Make copies and keep the originals.
If service of the complaint for #1 is identical, then it is an error. If he refiled for some reason and that was served on you then the issue is one of non response.
Not sure why your license... View More
I struck a vehicle making a sharp left turn. I exchanged information with the driver and I continued as normal. Months later I receive a citation in the mail for a hit & run. I have proof that it wasn't a hit and run. Pictures, the drivers info etc. I went to court over this and the Judge... View More

He felt he was doing you a favor as hit and run is at least a misdemeanor, and can be a felony. It's very serious.
You have to look at the section. If it's a stop sign violation those are no points for the first offense. If it was a control signal, that is points but it's not... View More
I was recently pulled over in Pennsylvania for a registration that expired in August. Upon being stopped, the officer informed me that my license is coming back as suspended. I served a 30 day license suspension from June to July 17th, however was never made aware that I have to restore my license.... View More

You need to speak with an experienced traffic attorney. If a judge sees that your license was suspended at the time you were pulled over then you will most likely be found guilty and lose your license for an entire year. Hiring an attorney would be a wise choice
Received a ticket for expired registration. Expired 12/2020 and I forgot to renew. The police was sitting by a stop sign and running plates. This is my first offense and I have a clean driving record. Is there anything I can do or do I just need to plead guilty and pay the fine(s)?

As it is a no points, I would suggest you get your registration done and plead guilty if the fine isn't too steep.
points and told me if i fight it, the judge will most likely take it off for me but in a box on the citation saying confidential information it says my speed, will the judge be able to see that?
answered on Aug 3, 2021
Frankly, if there are no points you are better off paying it. Judges tend not to favor those who already got a break, and if you were doing almost 30 over or even 20 over they will consider it a monster break.
I'm not sure how you would fight it without the judge knowing that it was... View More

If its no points why?
The officer is cutting you a break, and yes, it costs money but that beats points.
I had to get the ticket in the mail because "their system was down" when I got pulled over. The ticket is only for 5mph over the limit although he said he got my speed at 81mph in a 65 zone and was doing me a favor. He also could have said something that my inspection was a few days out... Small things like the color of the car won't get you off the hook. Only 5 over, is something you can fight though if the Judge gets the idea you were actually going 16 over they may sock it to you. You have to look at it from a points perspective--are you better off taking the 5 over or... View More

If he filed it with the wrong address, you may be already suspended. You need to either call the court where it happened or a lawyer to look into it
And I never had to sign anything too. What should I do?
answered on Jul 6, 2021
Was your correct address on your license because that is likely where it was sent. Call a lawyer as it can be checked online. If it has not been filed, there is a 30 day statute of limitations so it may be too late to file it now, if it hasn't yet been filed. Don't ignore it because if it... View More
Received a fine but paying it would admit guilt. Can the injured party sue after paying the fine?

A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for two weeks. In SOME (I can't speak for Pennsylvania) jurisdictions, people who are uninsured could sometimes still have remedies for money damages, but they could be precluded from including pain and suffering in their...
