Paying the fine on the ticket finalized the matter and it is on your record permanently. It is virtually impossible to "remove" any conviction; the objective is to avoid anything from ever being reported. Next time, call an attorney BEFORE you pay anything or do anything with the court. Good luck
can I get off of this ?

Errors on a citation will not automatically cause dismissal of a class c offense; you will have to review the actual complaint filed with the court. Calling an attorney may help. Good luck.
An officer put me over and towed my car for no insurance, but the ticket shows she confirmed my insurance. What does that mean?
answered on Aug 20, 2020
Did you have insurance on the car when you were stopped? If not, and the officer made a clerical error, then the citation was properly issued. If insurance was in force on the date and time in question, take proof of insurance to the court where the ticket is filed and request dismissal. Calling... View More

Yes, a citation is valid even if it is not issued the date as the alleged offense. Call your insurance company and your attorney before appearing in court. Good luck.

More information is needed, but it is possible for law enforcement to take a vehicle into evidence and keep it until a criminal case is concluded. Talk with an attorney. Good luck.

You can contest any citation, but the error you describe will not cause automatic dismissal of the matter.
All I have is the citation number.

I am not sure of your exact question. Where did you obtain the citation number? I suggest contacting that organization to discover the location and status of the citation.

Hire a criminal defense attorney to obtain copies of evidence through the "discovery" process outlined in Article 39.14 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.

Assume the officer was preoccupied and made a clerical error. Whether the State will pursue prosecution depends on if enough information was gathered to generate a complaint (an error on the ticket itself is not sufficient to cause dismissal). Calling an attorney may help. Good luck.
Got ticket in Williamson County, but live in Dallas County. 19 miles over limit. Does this make a difference in any way so that I can get out of the ticket? Ticket on May 19, 2020.

Signing or not signing a ticket has no effect on prosecution. Call a lawyer in Williamson County. Good luck.

You cannot resolve a moving violation through a defensive driving class if you don't have a valid driver's license. Talking with a Judge can't hurt. Talking with an attorney first would be better. Good luck.

The question is whether the car was insured on the date and time the ticket was issued; proof of current insurance will not dismiss a no insurance citation. Get a letter from your insurance company that the cat was insured on the date of the ticket.

At arraignment th police report says that I was stopped for no seatbelt .I was charged with DWI he claims the oder of alcohol and glossy eyes. On the way out I stopped at traffic ticket office and there is no seatbelt ticket under my i.d Was that a lawful stop?
answered on Mar 5, 2020
The no seatbelt reason is the probable cause for stopping you. A police officer does not write the ticket for the no seatbelt because a DWI is a more serious crime. Nevertheless, a judge may find that the probable cause was not reasonable. Hopefully, you landed in a friendly Houston Harris County... View More

I was going 76 in a 60 at night on a Texas Highway. When I asked how much the ticket was the cop said I had to appear in court for it I can’t pay it I really need help as I am freaking out and don’t want anything on my record
answered on Mar 1, 2020
You will need to show up to court to find out more details about how you can resolve it. If it's your first ticket, there's probably quite a few options they would be willing to offer you. If you want to fight it, you should show up and tell them you want to fight it.
