I have heard these types of arguments in the past and they have failed each and every time. Also, due to COVID, this type of argument will absolutely fail. Regardless, you will want to appear and see what happens in court. At the very least you will want to ask for Court Supervision.

What do you do? You hire a Criminal Defense Attorney to assist you with this matter right away. That attorney will attempt to have the ticket amended to a Petty Offense, but they will need time to work on the case. BTW, it does not matter what the speed limit was in prior blocks, it only matters... View More

Q: Would small claims resolve my traffic fines

I don't see how going through the administrative hearing to appeal a Zoom judge opinion of me owing a fine would help any.

So I want to sue the municipal with all the stuff I've been reading about feds probe red light programs in state and around the country

What? Your question is a little confusing. If you have been charged with an offense, you should hire a Criminal Defense Attorney to assist you right away. If you have been a victim of a crime, you need to report it right away and the prosecutor will decide who should be charged, not you.
