I worked as an independent contractor for a door to door food company. The products were not delivered because of lack of inventory and I was fired. Now the company manager is telling customer to join him in filing a police complaint

Yes they can but there would have to be some evidence as to your intent. The best thing you can do is keep your mouth closed and your typing (posting) fingers still. Just retainer a local attorney in case they come knocking. People unintentionally say a lot to the police and end up giving them... View More

Be very careful! Hugging may be ok and pecks on the cheeks but any touching of privates or intercourse will be deemed sexual assault of a minor. You're playing with fire! What if she's smarter than you and accuses you of something to get something in return? This is not worth it on many levels.
How do I prove that in court

answered on Jun 29, 2018
You don't prove anything in court. The DA has to prove you were guilty. What you need is to get a criminal defense attorney ASAP, if you don't already have one.
I need to prove this in a court. I need a lawyer to assess what kind of case this will be.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking. Is this a criminal law question, personal injury question, malpractice question or something other? If it's a criminal matter, I handle those. I'm always available for a free consult.
Owner saw him and called cops. Owner and him conversed for a few minutes, no fight or physical assault, my relative climbed back out. He was arrested and small amount of drug was also found on him. Call an attorney ASAP. Don't talk to ANYONE and that included online (here). You're in a jam and it can get a lot worse with a misstep. You need an attorney.
My husband is on murder trial and his code admit he did it but there still holding my husband on a finger print. Its already been 5 yrs and he still in there

answered on Jun 24, 2018
That's how they get people--get one co-defendant to point the finger against the other. I'm sure your husband has an attorney. Find out the game plan from his attorney. If there isn't one, you may need to hire one.
It was a friend's car I was just hanging out in it and there was some damage

Short answer is yes. However, you need to get a lawyer to help you extract the true facts and formulate a defense. Don't offer facts here online where cops and DAs could see. Get a free consult, now.
I was pulled over for no tags (but my registration paid) and I forgot that my license had expired. I received a ticket marked misdemeanor. I renewed my license the next business day. How do I ask the prosecution to reduce to an infraction? I’ve never received a ticket before and have been driving... View More

Some infractions could be marked a misdemeanor. Misdemeanors could have jail time. For that reason alone, you need an attorney. Do you really want to chance it alone?
I’d have made an unthinkable stupid mistake by leaving 2 messages on an old friend phone .
The messages were nasty sexual in nature by no threatening word said.
I have no prior record
Will I be looking at jail time
I will be first time offender

answered on Jun 20, 2018
Jail time could be the least of it if it's a minor who received the texts. Certain sexual crimes can have very long-term consequences like registering as a sexual offender. It's best not to discuss it on a public forum. Instead, call a local attorney who practice criminal defense--I do.
and my background said i have a warrant for violation of probation

answered on Jun 19, 2018
Is there a question? You need to consult a local attorney and take care of this quickly or the cops will picks you up when pulled over or if ever in an accident. They could also come for you. It all depends on the type of case.

Get a lawyer and stop giving out facts here! Cops and DA's look at these sites. If you already have a lawyer, listen to him/her.

Why play with fire?! Why not find other activities. Having said that, law which protect minors are usually strict liability and you can't say, "I didn't know." Some have defenses but why take the chance?

Since you are still under probation for the first offense, there would most likely be a jail time. However, it's important to seek consultation with a local attorney ASAP to see if the case can be either dismissed, challenged or to find out if there are any defenses. Don't admit to... View More

This is a hypothetical which can end up in many different directions. I don't want to discuss it here because cops and DA's surf this site quite often. You should instead call a local attorney for a consult.
And the police of that city has been called to the scene.and the police leave and the person who did the assault is also left at the scene with the person who was assaulted what should happen next?

answered on Jun 10, 2018
It sounds like you're trying to make a point rather than ask a question. Please be specific rather than asking hypothetical questions. It's actually better to call an attorney locally for a free consult. If it's purely for academic purposes, I suggest attending law school.

You have a couple of options; reduce felony to misdemeanor and then get the misdemeanor expunged or vacate the sentence. The last idea is very difficult. However, if you have "new" evidence which was not admitted during trial, it may be worth looking at it. Call a local attorney.
