In Colorado, the DR2334 form is typically given to juvenile drivers as part of the juvenile traffic ticket process. The form notifies the juvenile and their parent or guardian of the option to attend a driver improvement program to avoid points on their driving record. While the absence of the... View More

You might be better off talking to the county. Most areas have ordinances regarding street parking. I imagine blocking driveways may be against your local ordinance.

You should probably go to court and request a reduction of the fines and enter a payment plan. This case arises under traffic ticket law. You need to discuss with an attorney in your jurisdiction that specializes in this kind of law. Thank you for using Justia, Ask a Lawyer.

I think this is more Criminal Law than traffic tickets, you have not indicated that you were cited for any vehicle code violation, although having illegal substances in the care can ALSO be a VC violation. Contact a criminal defense attorney in the area in which you were cited.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you but pleased you were exonerated. Giving him the middle finger probably was not the wisest thing to do. The court should allow your personal insurance as proof of insurance on the date you were driving. As for the registration, you should ask the court to dismiss since you are not the registered owner. Contact a traffic ticket attorney in CO for assistance.

A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. The general rule in most places is that insurance follows the vehicle. It isn't fully clear what that provision that you cited means. The word "none" there doesn't seem to help. But it would... View More

Your first court date is typically just an arraignment date in which you enter a plea of not guilty, no contest or guilty. They will then give you a court date for your trial. If you would like to go forward with your trial, I would suggest you request that the court issue a subpoena for the... View More

If you believe that the speed limit was unreasonable or illegal, you may want to consult with a traffic attorney or contact the court to contest the ticket.

Prosecution has the burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that you committed a traffic offense----and you have a right (but you do not have to do so) to present a defense. The charge that you accused of is a class 2 misdemeanor traffic offense. It carries a possible penalty of 10-90 days in jail and/or a fine of $150-$300. Often, the ticket you receive allows you to resolve your case with the payment of a fine. It is also frequently the case that the prosecuting... View More

This is a tricky one. If you go to Court to resolve this issue, you are conceding that you were the person who received and was served with the ticket - and you will in turn lose any defense you have based on the wrong address. That said, depending upon what the ticket specifically says, you... View More

Sometimes a ticket or other type of charging document says "on or about" when referring to the date. That means that, if the date is wrong but only off by a day or so, then it's a harmless error. If it's a pretty far off date, then you have a strong argument for defending... View More
