If the defendant is two to four years older than the child, then the crime is a misdemeanor. Nobody can predict if you will... View More
I am 17 year's old, I will be 18 next month in May. My father is my legal guardian but I want to move to my mothers due to my fathers mental, emotional, and verbal abuse. Can I move to my mothers without permission? If I do, what would the police do?

You have already asked this question. My advice was to move into your mother's home and report your father's physical abuse to the police.
(Louisiana)My dad is very mentally, emotionally, and verbally abusive. He is manipulative, and a narcissist. He doesn't take care of himself. I cook his meals every day, i wash his clothes, and clean his house cause he is too lazy. The house is falling apart, I don't think it will even... View More

I like this girl and she's gonna be 20 soon and I'm only 17 I would like to know so I wouldn't get her in trouble if we was together
answered on Feb 7, 2021
You would not get her in trouble IF:
1) you get a Gardasil shot so that she doesn't give you penile cancer,
2) you use birth control so that you don't have to support a child for 18 years.

No, you are still considered a minor by law. You can jump out into the world and all of its accompanying responsibilities as an adult once you are 18. Until then, you could consult with a family law attorney to discuss emancipation, but that process would likely take you through your 18th... View More

You can move out without parental consent in 3 months. In the mean time, try to graduate from high school so you can get a job that pays more than minimum wage.
