A Georgia attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. It could depend on the citation. If it was for something administrative, it could be insignificant. If it was for an operational violation such as "following too closely" or "failure to... View More

I would call the court and explain that you just received the notice. The mail has been very slow lately. The hearing has likely been postponed or dismissed anyway but you should call and find out. Have the subpoena ready when you call.

The cop said someone told them I was racing another car before the wreck so it’s my fault.

A Georgia attorney could advise best, but your post remains open for two weeks. Without knowing more about lane markings, signage, or traffic control devices, it's difficult to offer meaningful input. You should consider a consult with an attorney, and learning what your insurance carrier... View More

A Georgia attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for five weeks. Since your own policy was cancelled, you would need to look to the policy of the other vehicle for coverage of property damage. Good luck

This is something on which a Georgia attorney could advise best. But your post remains open for two weeks. If you have an insurance policy that covers collision damage even where you are at fault, that is one way, and you are probably already aware of that if you have such coverage. The other way... What happened in the traffic court hearing does not necessarily carry over into your personal injury claim. Technically the traffic court judge didn't declare you "innocent." Instead you were found "not guilty" of the citation as charged. It may sound like a technicality,... View More

Pull the car off the road.

Report the car to your insurance. The other person is responsible if your car was off the road. Whether you violated a regulation by leaving it there doesn't give someone the right to plough into it if you parked it off of the road. Photos help. You can sue...

It sounds like a legitimate reason for swerving out of a regular traffic lane. You could contact a Georgia attorney who handles traffic tickets (there's a section for that here) and discuss the matter with them. You posted in Car Accidents. Good luck

In other words, in this scenario one aspect of your case should not have anything to do... View More
