An Indiana attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. Unfortunately, the scenario you describe places the primary blame on you. In virtually any jurisdiction, entering the main roadway from a driveway gives right of way to drivers already proceeding in the main... View More

An insurance company has a right to refuse payment on an accident claim if the driver did not have a valid license. You admit that your husband did not have a valid license at the time of the accident. Your insurance company may well be refusing to issue a certificate of coverage but that refusal... View More

Short answer is that you can try. The discretion whether or not to allow you to withdraw your guilty please (which is what happens when you pay your ticket before court) is within the province of the presiding Judge. If he say no, then it is over. If he says yes, then your guilty plea is... View More

15 years ago I received a driving while suspended citation. I recently received another. I received the ticket because someone ran a red light and Tboned me. Your question is a bit confusing. It looks like you are saying that you drove on a suspended license for 15 years. If you live in Detroit, Michigan, why are you asking about Indiana law? You really need to consult a local traffic attorney to assess your options. print out a copy of your driving... View More

You should consider speaking with a local criminal/traffic attorney who will be able to best argue your position. If you simply pay the ticket it will add a minimum of 4 points to your record and could raise your insurance rates.

You should consider speaking with a traffic attorney to determine if paying the tickets in the long run will be more expensive than hiring an attorney who may be able to negotiate a better resolution to the case.... Q: I have unpaid tickets from 2017&2018 that I never received information in the mail on.

I tried paying them today on public.courts.IN.gov today and all of them say they have been sent to collections, but they are not on my credit report for me to know what agency they are with. What is the best way for me to go about paying these/finding the information so I can get my license back?

Additionally, consider speaking with an attorney about the unpaid tickets, if you are suspended for an unpaid ticket, it may be possible to set the judgement aside and keep it off your record.... If the officer can prove who was driving the other car then that driver could also be cited or speeding and possibly resisting law enforcement.

Q: At a traffic stop, are police allowed to search my purse without my consent/prob cause?

I gave consent to search my vehicle but they just took my purse from me as I was stepping outta my car & without asking or anything, proceeded to search it, which led to a drug charge. But I feel as if they violated my rights.

If they did not have probable cause to search the vehicle or your purse, but you gave consent to search the car, there may be an issue with consent to search your purse. Contact a local defense attorney to discuss the case in more detail.
