Q: I lost permanent custody to my daughter in 2015 to her father and grandmother how do I get that back?

She is 14. In and out of residential facilities. I have a room for her a structured loving home. Both the grandparents and father are in agreement that I have the best place for her. What can I do if anything?

Q: How does the new child support laws enacted on March 1st in Kentucky affect me?

We have shared custody of our 4 children. My ex wife does not work, has remarried, and is pregnant. My gross income is $2500 bi-weekly and I pay $250 for the children's insurance also bi-weekly.

You will need to recalculate child support with current income info ( informally at first) to see what the new amount is. It is a rather complex calculation so I’d review it carefully with a lawyer.

Q: Can custody be resolved separately from divorce in another state?

Custody order is being resolved in SC. Am I allowed to file just the divorce part in another state where I reside? South Carolina has jurisdiction over my kids.

No. You should ask the court to appoint you you own attorney to consult and speak on your behalf. He can let the court know your position.

Q: Can mom change pick up time if custody order says 5pm sunday at a specific location

Custody order states puck up 6pm Friday drop off 5pm Sunday. She's mad that husband has to leave for work early and I his wife is dropping son off in designated spot at 5. She is mad because she moved 3 hours south and has to drive further. Can she do this?

You should speak with a Kentucky lawyer. Your question is not clear. If a divorce was obtained without your knowledge then perhaps it did not address the issues of custody or property and you can address them by filing motions within the case. There is probably a conflict for the lawyer with the second representation. Bring it to the Courts attention and the judge will resolve it.
