Idk if i need to pay the ticket or go to court to try to get traffic school or something like that. This is new for me

Go to court and see if they will divert it (meaning if you don’t get another ticket in 90 or 180 days) they will dismiss it. Don’t just pay it bc you can do much better.
I can't recall the ticket. Was 13 years ago. Iv tagged 2 other vehicles in my name since that vehicle, it never came up. Iv been in the court house and in court and had my name ran several times in 13 years and it never came up ever. I was arrested in a warrant (first time ever arrested and I... View More

If it is a warrant, it is good until the case is resolved. Get proof of registration from your county clerk For the vehicle in question as well as proof of your current registration and take it to court with you. They will likely dismiss the case upon presentation of this proof.

There was a legal handgun in car. I do not have a felony . I dont have any tickets or outstanding warrants. How do i get it released. The storage is going to end up costing more than cars value.

You will have to go to the court in which the case is pending and ask for an order returning the vehicle. If it is actual evidence of a crime, you probably won’t get it back until the case is resolved. If it is not actual evidence, you can probably get an order returning it within a reasonable... The vet bill is $355 and will be more charges in the coming 8 weeks, a neighbor said he saw who did it and pointed them out to me. It is clear they were definitely speeding well over the limit based on the injuries. What can I do?

Yes. You must pay restitution for the damages. You may have a claim against the seller for misrepresentation but you still have to pay.
I was pulled over and did not have my drivers license with me. Unknown to me, my license had also expired 5 days earlier. (Kentucky stopped sending notices for license renewal, I simply had not noticed mine expired). I was told all I needed to do was go to court and show I had a license. I... View More

You did the community service in exchange for g Hy acing the case dismissed. You should now expunge the dismissal so there’s never any record of it again.
I got stopped for speeding 15 mph, and hadn't transferred/register my car I recently bought and no insurance. Since I've obtained both registration and insurance, could both of these charges be dismissed? Thanks
answered on Oct 26, 2019
The registration certainly could be. Unless you had insurance when you were driving the car, most likely they’ll want a plea on no insurance. Inquire about diversion on all charges.
Can I just pay the fine and be finished? If not what will happen in court?

You need to hire an Illinois lawyer near where you got the ticket to resolve it for you. Do not ignore it, you cannot prepay it, and if you do nothing they may issue z warrant for you. Just address it quickly and you may be able to get it diverted or dismissed.
What are the penalties? I read its a misdemeanor but they could impose jail time. What is the likelihood of facing jail time for the first offense? Would taking a defensive driver's course help?
answered on Aug 29, 2019
Depends on what cou ty you’re in. It not likely for jail time on a first offense.

I was trying not to miss an exit in pikeville Ky and cut through the white lines right in front of a cop. He pulled me over and cited me with careless driving with a court date and no way to pay my ticket until court. The problem is I received a speeding ticket going 80 in a 70 near Lexington... You need to hire a lawyer in each town to handle each ticket. They can minimize the effect on your license.
What will happen in court? I can not have my licenses suspended?
answered on Jun 3, 2019
If you have little or no record, you may be able to get diversion or traffic school.

Check with your local district court clerk. Some will let you present proof to the clerk without having to go to court.
My temporary tag would have been expired the dealership then went the next day and transferred it
The vehicle info and tag number on the citation do not match the vehicle I was driving. Is it possible to have the citation dismissed? The citation indicates there was no in-car video.

Absolutely. If you fail to appear in court or resolve a citation, they notify the DOT to suspend your license.
I have a court date and this is the first offense ever. I was issued a speeding citation instead of reckless driving.

I got a speeding ticket back in June and I had my mom send a check for me through the mail well my mom found the check underneath her car seat.. and I thought it had been paid the whole time and now I am so worried I have like a warrant out because of an unpaid fine. Check with the district court clerk in the county where you got the ticket. They can tell you the status of your case.
