Q: I had a ramp fall off my trailer on i-10 in Louisiana. A guy who slowed down to avoid it was hit. Am I liable for that?

Q: Company doing work to a ditch with truck parked in roadway and they do not have traffic control. Are they liable ?

No work signs, no flaggers and crash occurs because vehicle had to get into oncoming lane to pass is the company liable?

Company should be implead as a defendant by your attorney. If you don't have a lawyer,yo u are going to need one.

If that's what the contract says, then yes. If that's not what the contract says, then no. If you don't have a contract, then get a new lawyer.

It does not matter about the vehicle you were in being uninsured as to whether you can recover your damages from the responsible party.

If you were hurt you may have an uninsured motorist claim against the other driver. Get estimates of cost to fix it and see an attorney who is a member of the La. Trial Lawyers for the Parish where it happened. They give free consults.

Q: How is fault determined in a parking lot fender bender? Minimal damage, other driver left before police was called.

Police wrote it up a a hit and run. Other car was a rental and now the rental company is trying to get me to pay over $1800 and is threatening to turn me over to a collections agency if I do not pay. I have an accident report that the rental company now wants to see. Should I oblige?

Unlikely but why not check with a member of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. You can get tickets for several violations. Paying one doesn't wipe out the others.

Q: I was in an accident with a company truck. The driver of the truck gave the police a false insurance policy no.

The company rented the truck from a company in utah which reposessed the truck. Now no one from the company will answer calls. Can i file a claim against the rental company

Answer depends on who got the ticket and what were the circumstances. But I'm guessing the tractor not licensed so probably liability lies with the tractor.

I'm not sure of your question. It may be possible to work something out with the prosecutor to keep it off of her record, depending on the circumstances. Otherwise it will greatly affect your insurance premiums.
