If your child's father is not in agreement, he may petition the family court. Meet with a family court attorney to establish court orders regarding parenting time, custody, and support.

Q: Joint custody I have primary physical custody. Dad is very verbally abusive to me.

I do not want to disrupt any relationship between him and my child. Is there any legal action I can take that will stop him from all of the verbal abuse? My child is now starting to show signs she is affected by this.

Talk to your attorney about including order that address the problem. If they continue after that(or if those orders are in place already) you may want to file a contempt motion.

Meet with and retain a family court attorney to assist you in making proper arrangements. If DCYF is still open, they may be the ones who presently have legal custody . . . but it is impossible to tell without a thorough review of the case.

Find those birth certificates and set up a meeting with a family court attorney. This sounds like it shall have to be resolved in Family Court. The police officer was correct. This needs to be resolved in family court.

Talk to your lawyer if you are unable to find relevant documents in your prior court orders. If there was a protective order issued by the court to impound your address, for example, through a restraining order, you may have the answer you seek.

If you agree, the court may approve of your arrangements. If you do not agree, you will have to show that this arrangement is not suitable, nor in the best interest of your child.

Q: My ex hasn't even started his domestic abuse classes for his probation. What happens if he doesn't complete them?

He has to complete 20 classes... it's already been 6 months since he was convicted. they offer classes once a week equaling 20 weeks. If he doesn't complete it in time of his one year probation, what happens to him? He pleaded nolo and they gave him 1 year probation and 20 DV classes.
