Not only have I been stopped since 2009. I was stopped just last year and issued more tickets. Why if I had warrents, was I not arrested for them? I have also been to jail for tickets in 2010 & 2012. Same county even same city.

If the charging instrument (the complaint ) has not been filed with the Court after 2 years from the date of offense, prosecution is barred by the statute of limitations. It would require investigation into your cases to see if this applies in your situation.
The ticket is marked warning but has a court date.

Call the Court and see exactly what was and was not filed. Calling a local attorney would help. Good luck.
i'll be leaving the country because I'm an F-1 student and my visa has expired. my main question is I will not be able to make the court date. what do i do?

You can try going to the court early to resolve the tickets or hiring an attorney to resolve them fo you. If you hire an attorney make sure you stay in communication with them so that you can resolve the tickets and don't let them turn into warrants.
I received a MIP for having empty bear bottles & one full one in the bed of my truck & Unsafe Speed ticket while doing donuts on an unoccupied section of the beach back in March. You may take a defensive driving class to resolve one of the moving violations. You must speak with an attorney in the county where your other citations are pending to discuss the effects one may have on another; each Judge has discretion on programs and requirements available to avoid... View More

Contact a local attorney; you have committed a more serious offense by giving a false name to a police officer while you had outstanding warrants.
I pay over half my income to child support and can't seem to make ends meet for myself.
My license is suspended due to surcharges. I need help getting back on level ground to support myself.

You may file am indigency application with the DPS to eliminate or reduce your surcharges. Your child support obligation depends on the number of children you have , and the number of different people you have to make payments to.
Can I get it off the record and keep my licence
answered on Jul 19, 2018
The maximum fine for a speeding citation is $200 plus court costs. It will be up to the Judge if any options are available to you to avoid a conviction.

A conviction on either DL restriction case will cause the DPS to issue a suspension. See what you can do to remove said restriction from you license before your court date. Start calling local lawyers. Good luck.
I received a citation in Texas and would like to keep it off my record if possible. I know that there is an option to take a driving safety course but it appears you must have a Valid Texas Liscense. As an out-of-state resident, do I have other options besides entering a guilty or no contest plea,... View More

I noticed there are now five citations. I was expecting the three, and a fourth for failure to appear, but there is also a violation of promise to appear. How is failure to appear and violation of promise to appear separate citations? Also, online it says the max fine for these tickets is $200, but... View More

Failure to Appear and Violate Promise to Appear are separate offenses. The $200 maximum fine for class c misdemeanors does not include court costs, late, warrant, or collection fees. Call a local lawyer to see what can be done. Good luck.
On a corner I take several times a week, apparently I have been only slowing down as I turn right at the traffic light. I didn't realize I was doing it, and I know it's technically wrong. When I received a ticket by mail I changed my driving habits and set myself to pay the ticket.... View More

There is no limit on the number of red light camera tickets that can be issued to an individual in a given time frame. You have the right to contest any or all of the citations. Calling a local attorney would help. God luck.

Race is not an element of a speeding offense. When the formal charging instrument is filed with the Court (the complaint), your race will not be listed. This clerical error on the citation will not cause automatic dismissal pf the citation.
This is my question. A while back I was in an accident and poeple told the officer I was speeding. The officer said he couldn't issue a ticket because he didn't witness the speeding. Now involved in another accident many years later and was given a ticket for running a red light. The... View More

An officer can issue a citation, which is just a notice of when and where to appear at Court, regarding events she/he did not witness. The officer, however, would not be able to testify to any facts he did not personally observe, and the question would be what evidence the State could produce to... View More
This was a municipal citation in a neighboring city surrounded by San Antonio. I have an active warrant with them (Balcones Heights) and am afraid of being arrested. Theft cases can be enhanced to felony status regardless of the value of the property allegedly stolen if the defendant has two or more previous theft convictions. The decision to enhance charges is made by the DA, not the Judge. Warrants will remain outstanding until bonds are posted, you are... View More
