Q: What can I do to stop my neighbor from reaching into my yard to pet my dog?

She broke into our backyard countless times while the family was at work&school in the morning to be with my dog. When caught and told to stop, she wrote a letter apologizing (we have the letter still). She has not stopped reaching into our yard to feed our dog treats and petting him. What can... View More

I would suggest having an attorney send a cease and desist letter. I would also put additional locks or fencing up. Since you know that she is doing that you, without proactive steps on your part, you may have some liability if the dog ever bites her.

Absent an agreement to the contrary, your husband's work title, position, and pay can be changed at the will of the employer. If the change negatively impacts the employee, and it was due to a discriminatory reason (which is often hidden), the employee would have a case. The general rule is... View More

Anyone can be sued for any reason...winning a lawsuit is a different story. The contract would have to be read, but a big step to avoid litigation is to simply pay the remaining balance.

Q: Can I recant a statement I verbally made to the police? I was coerced into saying something because I was scared.

I also obtained the discovery and most of my statement was also made false by the police. I wasn't charged with anything, but don't want anyone to get in trouble for something they didn't do. This is a drug case.

Yes, it can be done without a real-estate agent. It could be done without a lawyer, but that would be a bad idea. As far as price, that would vary by attorney.

It isn't a legal question, it is a question of company policy. They may be using this as an excuse to discriminate against you for a different reason. If you see any other adverse employment actions you should consult an employment/discrimination attorney immediately.
