Q: I have no ACL due to misdiagnoses by doctor 14 years ago. Said it was sprained, was actually torn. Medical malpractice?

Happened in Savannah, Georgia. I should have had surgery to repair my ACL when the injury occurred...14 years of pain and not being able to run and play with my children because I was misdiagnosed. Is this a malpractice case?

It could be malpractice but your time to sue has long passed. The statute of limitations in your state is two years from the date of injury.

Q: If my son who is almost 23 purchases a car from me, his mother for a small amount, has his own insurance policy, and is

the only one on the title but I am paying his insurance. If he were to have an accident and hurt someone could I be liable in anyway? I know he smokes pot on occasions but it is legal in Colorado. Does this make it negligent entrustment?

John M DeProspo

If you are just paying for the insurance in his name, no, you would not have any liability in the event he is in an accident. Negligent entrustment is when you let someone else use YOUR car.

Once a case is in litigation, there generally is no set time for it to be resolved. You need to speak with the lawyer handling the case as to why it is taking so long.

A medical malpractice case for injury must be brought within one year from the date the claimant discovered the negligent act, but no more than three years from the date of injury. You should contact a medical malpractice lawyer for a free consultation.

Q: What happens if you got in a car accident nothing serious and you and the other driving come into terms with each other

Can the police still get involve in the case? He still has the information can he still get charges on me?

I don't understand your question. If you and the other driver "come to terms," that would be the end of the story. Why would the police get involved? I guess you need to explain what "come to terms" means.

Yes, you can sue her for negligence but do you think she is covered by insurance or has the money to pay a judgement? Seems unlikely.

Cooperate with the hospital and police. I do not see this as a viable medical malpractice claim. The cost of the litigation would outstrip any potential recovery. Of course, you can contact a medical malpractice lawyer in your area for a free consultation.

Forgery is a crime. If you suspect the lawyer of forgery, you should file a complaint with the appropriate bar association/disciplinary committee.

If there is no negligence against the person who invited you over, there is no case. What did the person do to cause your injury? It appears you were injured because you decided to jump the fence.
