This sounds like a crime or at least an attempted crime. You should report this kind of thing to the police so that they can take action before your dog is seriously injured or killed.

Unfortunately, no. The officer may use your speed to provide a reason to stop you and ultimately decide not to cite you for it. His decision not to cite you for your speed does not invalidate the marijuana possession ticket.

Has she demanded a speedy trial? If not, they won't really worry about when she gets a trial. If she has, they will have to try to move things along. Certainly something she should be discussing with her lawyer. If she doesn't have a lawyer, that's not helping her any.

That depends on whether there has been a hearing. Many cases have been put on hold so you may not have missed anything. However, if you have missed a hearing, there is likely a warrant out for your arrest. It would be wise to have an attorney in MN retained to assist you with this to ensure you... View More

Q: Speeding ticket (69-60 zone). I would like to get a CFD, how do I approach the PA?

I was stopped by a MN state trooper for speeding (69mph in a 60 zone, noting that the Trooper reduced it from 74). From the point that I turned onto this road to where I was pulled over, there were no speed limit signs (I have a dashcam). I have a clean driving record and the vehicle has Ambulance... View More

Your best bet is to contact a lawyer directly and have a consultation. I don't recommend trying to handle your case based on things you read on the internet. If your goal is to keep your record clean, hiring a lawyer will give you the best chance to do that.

This is likely a typo. It would be unwise to ignore this. You should have an attorney monitor this and see if it can be dismissed.

Q: Should I pay for a 16y old speeding ticket from another state? Pay the state or collection agency?

I recently received this speeding ticket apparently in 2004. I don't understand, why I just got it now? The address I currently live wasn't on my drivers license then. I currently live in a different state from the issued ticket. I'm confused as in what I should do.

The smart move would be to get a lawyer retained. Crimes of domestic violence require an arrest, but a lawyer may be able to help make that process easier. In addition, crimes of domestic violence carry many collateral consequences you will want to try to avoid.

She will have to resolve the ticket one way or another. Simply ignoring it for several months doesn’t make it go away.

A lawyer may be able to assist her in resolving the ticket without it ending up on her record.

A common condition of probation for a DWI is that you not have any driver’s license or insurance violations. This ticket could result in a probation violation. I recommend having an attorney assist you to minimize the consequences of this ticket.
