Anti-discrimation laws are not applicable to individuals naming trust beneficiaries. They can discriminate as they wish.

Q: Can I purchase a home while waiting for my divorce to be final

I am currently working to sell our home and at the same time filing out the divorce papers. Understanding that the divorce will take 6 month to finalize, am I able to purchase a home or will this become part of the community property.

Yes, you can purchase a home while waiting for your divorce to be final. Although I can always use the work, I would advise my client to wait until the divorce is final unless it was for a good reason. It will complicate things. Maybe only a little bit, but maybe more.

Any information you share with someone other than your attorney is no longer protected information under the attorney-client privilege. It's not really an infraction, it just means that information isn't confidential. A letter to your landlord wasn't protected to begin with.
