It is illegal for an 18 year old to have sex with a 15 year old. There are serious consequences and penalties for violating this law. Having any type of "sexual" behavior (i.e. kissing, touching, etc) can lead to criminal charges.

He should probably begin by contacting an attorney in the state where the mother and daughter are located. If he sues for visitation, and the daughter has been in another state for at least six months, he would have to sue there.

The "close in age" exception to the sexual battery (a/k/a "statutory rape") statutes insulates him from criminal culpability.

He could be required to pay child support until the child becomes an adult.

It appears that the police are misunderstanding the situation. Show them your birth certificate (with your name on it) and the mother's death certificate. And explain the facts as you have explained them here.

That should work, but if it doesn't you may have to apply for a court order.

Does your son have a passport? Normally, in the US at least, both parents have to sign a passport application.

If the father blocked the move " using the 50-mile rule", has that obstacle somehow been overcome?

Q: I’m 19 years old,I still live with my mom and she’s the overprotective type. What are my rights in that situation?

If we argue and she kicked me out,I still have the right to receive my allowance? And she have the right to put cameras to spy me?

answered on Nov 29, 2017

If, by allowance, you mean a gift that a parent gives to a child, no: you don't have a "right" to it. As the term "gift" suggests, it is up to her.

If she kicked you out of the home, where would she put cameras?

The first thing to do is review your agreement. Are you divorced? Is it paternity? Through the court you can require the posting of a bond if you can prove a legitimate concern that they will not reurn.

Q: Hi, I have an issue, my parent put my name on a credit card now I'm in debt. She did it without my permission.

She also refuse to pay back the money she owe. I also helped her pay some of the payments but when I stopped she couldn't pay it. She also had took my check book and paid things with that when she moved away from me. Would a lawyer be able to help me?

You may be able to dispute the credit card charges; you almost certainly can get the card cancelled.

Assuming she didn't have check-signing authority, you may be able to have the bank dishonor the checks. Did she sign your name or her name on the checks?
