Hello. No, you will need to file with the court in the county where the case is located to stop child support. Thanks for your question!
How do I get the deductions to stop? My children are adults and all child support is paid in full.

You have to go to the clerks office and fill out a CS-44 Affidavit for Termination if Withholding Order for Support. It is stating to the court that the children have reached the age of majority and you are no longer obligated to pay support. Congratulations!!
And verbally abuse me. I did a protection order but he held me hostage so I couldn’t go he also threaten me If I go back that he will hurt me and take our child. How can I collect child support and not let him be around my child? He sell drugs and is not a stable person.

Please contact 2nd chance and they will help you get away from him.
Also contact DHR who will go after child support without giving any visits. Good luck to you.
My ex wife has gotten my whole family drug tested in past cases. All clean of course. Anyway, this is not for custody just child support. And I know my son has been partaking in weed. Though I’ve never caught him. It’s blatant. And if he does get tested, what will happen to my other children at... View More

Hello. She would need to ask the Court's permission or get him to submit to a test voluntarily. Weed is illegal in Alabama. It is against the law to partake, have possession of it, sell it, etc. You have an obligation to your other children to protect them from illegal drugs. Thank you for... View More

I've yet to see a Judge disallow a parental child support agreement. You still must file the child support forms as a matter of record in your case though. Thanks for your question.
We settled outside of court. We never had to see the judge. The judge made our agreement a court order. I’m married now, can she take me back to court to request more money?
answered on Sep 12, 2020
Yes, either of you can always go back and request to recalculate child support.
The fathers child lives with his parents and the whole situation is unsafe to me for the child to stay their and also 2 hrs away over night the whole weekend. Hello. No, there's no specific law that addresses how old a child has to be before it can spend the night with the other parent. Thank you for the question.

Hello. No, it will not be legal unless and until it is a court order. Otherwise, you are at his mercy of when and how much he decides to pay. Contact DHR or hire an attorney to file for CS. Thanks for your question.

He does not have the right to bother you during your pregnancy. Contact him one last time and tell him if he bothers you again you will have him arrested. And then stop all contact. If he bothers you again call the police and have him arrested. When you go to the hospital and have the baby, do not... View More

Hello. Yes, other people are feeding, housing, and clothing your children. You are still financially responsible and they can obtain child support from you and the father.
You can pay the minimum amount, but the interest will accumulate and you will owe much more than $3,000.00. Don't... View More
My daughter, 16, had a baby with an adult man. She is unmarried, living with her mother, and I am paying child support for her plus insurance. Is the baby's father responsible for any hospital bills related to her care?
answered on Sep 4, 2020
Hello. Your daughter is still a minor and whatever the current order states, that is what you will need to follow. The father is financially responsible for his child, not your child (daughter). Thank you for the question.
We haven't been to court or anything, I just did an over the phone interview. This was back in April. What do I need to do? Also in the future if I want to put him on child support will I be able too?
answered on Sep 4, 2020
Hello. He's not required to pay without a court order. Sounds like you don't have one yet. Just stop pursuing it. Yes, you still have the option to do so in the future if you maintain custody. Thanks for your question.
HOW am I 100k behind and all of a sudden, they try garnishment or leins? How can I help myself?

Hello. It's impossible to tell you exactly without looking at your case. However, it sounds like you did not pay through the state; therefore, no records exist of your paying support. Thank you for your question.
She’s in college and not working

Hello. Unless she is disabled and unable to care for herself, then it terminates on her 19th birthday. Any money received by the custodial parent after that date is subject to claw back, should the non-custodial parent decide to legally pursue it. Thank you for the question.
We both maintain similar homes and expenses related to the children. One parent does make 66% of joint income.

Hello, uncontested means child support will be addressed in your agreement. The Court will make whatever your agreement is the Final Order. So, no, unless you both agree. You will still need to complete the child support calculation forms so they can be filed on record. Best wishes.
Out weekly. She gave me no child support or alimony even though I stayed home with the kids and didn't have a career. I got a little place of my own because I couldn't stay where my ex was. He moved out of state and sold the house. Can I get child support and alimony now that I have my... View More
