Insurance companies take unreasonable positions every day. If you are not happy with the offer and position taken, you have the option of filing a lawsuit against the at-fault driver. Ultimately, a case can go to tria and a jury will decide the issue of fault. You should contact a local attorney... View More

you have a case for assault & battery. Hopefully you will be well. Unless the alleged friend has money I don't see any insurance coverage that would make it worth anyone's time to sue him--all they'd get would be a piece of paper they'd be unlikely to collect on.

In most cases involving injury at a personal home, the homeowner's insurance carrier will not pay out funds unless there is some fault on the part of the homeowner. Some policies have Medical Payment coverage which does pay for medical bills even without the showing of fault. Contact a local... View More

Q: My dog and I were attacked by three possibly feral cats in my townhome complex. Would HOA be responsible for my injuries

My dog and I were walking through my complex and were attacked by three cats. It was very vicious and the cats would not back down. I had to see my doctor and received 2 shots as well as being on antibiotics. I'm very uncomfortable walking my dog now and am on high alert when outdoors now

I do not see how the HOA would be liable for the actions of stray cats on the property. You, of course, can contact a personal injury lawyer in your area for a free consultation.
